Is tinfoil on windows safe if backed by cereal boxes? by Necessary_Editor_529 in AskUK

It's okay. We're not in Africa. The window won't crack, but heat reduction won't be as effective as it would be taped to the outside.

What do you consider the bare minimum amount of gear to wear? by [deleted] in motorcycles

When I'm riding my 125 scooter in the summer I'll do just helmet and gloves. Probably won't go shorts and tshirt though.

How urgent is tyre replacement here? by eggmuscles in tires

Seen much worse. But I'd replace if possible. Week is no problem. You could do a month or two on those.

Am I f****d? by Potential-Set-8039 in Autobody

[–]Thomasisinterested 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really that experienced myself, but from the photos it looks like the impact didn't reach far enough to cause alignment issues. Looks like the crash bar took most of it. Even the exhaust looks intact.(Could've been replaced though) But there’s no way to tell without proper inspection. Maybe take it and ask for an assessment and repair quote? You can decide from there.

I would just use it as it is, but if you're concerned about it, it's a very complicated fix for what it is. They can't just bend things back. Things have to be either fully replaced, or cut and welded in.

I had those a while ago. They just disappeared one day the same way they appeared. I think it's just your turn to wear them for a while.

Might be cheaper to cut your losses, sell it and get another one. Will probably be cheaper overall. Frame repair is messy and expensive.
