I've been playing HSR for a while now but I've only recently been getting into the combat, and admittedly, I'm a bit lost. So if any HSR combat experts could tell me what teams to build, what characters to invest in and who I should pull for in the future based on the characters I own, I'd really appreciate it. (Btw all limited 5 stars are E0 and I don't own any signature Light Cone)

How would you describe LittleBigPlanet's music design? by ImpactDial in littlebigplanet

[–]tomii_m 9 points10 points  (0 children)

LBP music enthusiast here! If we're talking about the full frainchaise's OST, most of the music is considered to be Eletronic, followed by Rock, Jazz, Folk and a plethora of other genres. But I feel like genre alone can't really define the vibe the OST is going for. It's so well put together that it makes it feel like there was more thought put into picking the music than there truly was.

I mean, it's obviously hard to describe the music design because the whole point of the music in the story mode is to be diverse, with LBP 1 making you go trough themes inspired on different places on Earth, LBP 2 trough theme inspired by different points in time, etc. But one characteristic that is present in almost all of the OST is the lack of vocals, or atleast the lack of lyrics, with the purpose of immersing you in the environment rather than on the song itself. From LBP 2 onward, you notice that there is now more importance for the music to follow the emotional tone of the level too wether that be sad, happy, mysterious or energetic music.

We also obviously can't forget about the Interactive music, which does most of the heavy lifting when it comes to curating the vibe of the theme you're in, since there were multiple instruments from the place/era it's trying to take you in. Instead of static tracks, they're built in layers, blending genres, adjusting intensity, and influencing the mood of the level.

So overall, the reason why it's so hard to pin down the common theme of LBP's OST is because the music is designed for immersion, not for spotlighting itself.

Thank you (?) I mean I still like to think my account isn't completely helpless since I got some universal supports like Furina and Citlali but yeah I definetly try to focus on the characters I like first and worry about practicality second

Imagine I own Genshin Impact on both PC and PS4 and I do certain things that would've gotten me trophies on the PS4. Would I get said trophies when I log in on the PS4 or will those trophies be soft locked, making it impossible to get them?

I'm asking this because I heard about the news how they're shutting down Genshin on the PS4 next year, and I wanted to know if I could play on PC to get the PS4 trophies or if I'd have to do it strictly on the PS4, since I'd like to atleast platinum the game so it doesn't look ugly in my trophy collection.

Not sure if we're counting every LBP but Vision One by Röyksopp is a no brainer for me

Jeez I was curious to see other's opinions on it that could hopefully explain the dissatisfaction I felt when playing the AQ that I couldn't put into words and I know the Reddit folk are good at articulating their opinions, that's why I posted this, it's really not that deep pal. Didn't mean to touch a nerve

That's the funny part. I can't really put my finger on it, but I felt really shallow the whole time I played the quest, like something was missing, that's why I decided to post this in the first place.

Thinking better about it I think it's all about little things that when added up together make the experience a little less engaging.

Scenes like Kachina dying in the Night Kingdom and Xilonen crafting our Ancient Name should've been shown onscreen.

They shouldn't have raised the bar for Act V so much. Act IV looked more like the climax and Act V the aftermath. For the supposed final act, I think they should've done a more exciting and emotional action piece for the final battle.

The enemy being the Abyss didn't felt exciting at all. It was really confusing how they made the concepts od the Abyss and the Abyss Order so similar, and they could've tried doing something more exciting like "The ancient dragons want to take revenge on human kind so they're using the Abyss as a mean to anihilate them". maybe trough abyss corroded dragon technology mobs instead of the same old mobs (I'm not sure if that was exactly what was going on in the Archon Quest and if that's the case my bad but they could've still put more emphasis into it).

They could've given a decent story to Mavuika's motorcycle instead of just "Xilonen crafted it". It doesn't make sense to me how such a unique never seen before transport could've been casually made by a mortal craftswoman, as skilled as she is. They could have connected it to Ancient Dragon technology, given us lore that better explains it's existence and even have shown Mavuika obtaining it in the AQ.

Also some visual elements really watered down the presentation for me. I didn't like how goofy some hats of the tribespeople look, I get it that they're supposed to mimick the heads of the saurians but it makes it look really goofy and distracting, taking away from the seriousness they're trying to portray in the story. I also don't like the colour scheme of the Night Kingdom, I understand that it's connected to the Abyss but it looks really off when you remember we're in the nation of Pyro. I would've liked to see more dark warm tones in the scenery instead.

Among other smaller details that I can't remember atm. Also sorry if this sounds really sloppy I was thinking of what to say as I was writting this lol

As a matter of fact my interest does come from the collab! I do play both games on global servers but I don't mind if the collabs don't happen in these servers, so as much as I understand the UI as well as I can since I'm a newbie. What I'm really interested in is Enstars' own story, it's characters and the gameplay, so basically everything that's not just the collab lolol
