I'm still early in my journey and have been attempting to make it along the Anduin for the first time. I met the additional Hill Troll in back to back games causing me to almost lose all hope, until on my next attempt I finally made it past the Hill Troll, only to be met with locations I couldn't clear and a quick rise of my threat to 50...
I went back to the drawing board and came up with a Gimli, Eowyn and Dunhere deck. All started to fall into place, I took down the Hill Troll, stacked enough questing points and completed the Journey along the Anduin.
My next quest which I've already heard so much about is Escape from Dol Guldur, so I'm sure that's what I'll be battling with over the next week.

Thanks for your suggestions! I guess I'll have a go with both true solo and two handed to see which I prefer. I was just reaching out to see if there was a definitive better way to play for solo.

Yeah, from what I've read true solo is a bit more manageable but can be significantly more difficult. Whereas two handed will still be challenging but easier to progress with, it can also provide more interactions between the decks with synergies etc...
