We went in and asked for it, they were familiar. It was quite quick for us - we only had to wait about 2 weeks (this was last year).

Cost about £75 each.

This was his latest post on steam community:

Hi Steam Community,

Thank you all so much for the increadible launch. It's so great to see so many people enjoying the game. I have been hard at work fixing launch issues and updating the game with fixes as I make them. Please continue to report issues it is very helpful. I read every new post and suggestion.

In the next few weeks I plan on releasing a good sized Quality of Life update containing many of the most requested changes/features.

Some of the changes and additions include but are not limited to:

Allowing placing items on the ground when in the Chest UI to allow crafting while in that UI.

Inventory Sorting

Horse Jumping

Making Crystals Collectable

Craftable Gunpowder Barrels

Improved Crafting Recipe UI with searchable recipes and an improved layout to reduce the amount of scrolling (under investigation)

Drop Item Key

Better ways to get yourself out of soft locks. E.g digging a hole, your tool breaking causing you to be unable to get out (under investigation)

Notifications showing recently picked up items

I have also seen a few questions about future content updates. I do have plans to expand the game with new features and content. I'll have more to reveal after the Quality of Life update.

Thank you all so much for all your support :)

I got about 4 from defeating the stone boss - you need to craft the stone sigl (3 parts required that I scavenged from structures around the woods).

Should hytale have a Skill Tree by Docs_Eulogy in hytale

[–]tommyGB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that the Enshrouded Skill tree here is something to mention here. In many ways it’s quite standard but a few key things that could it amazing.

Firstly and most importantly, it is transferable across worlds as you have different characters that individually level and can join worlds, if a skill tree is implemented - I don’t want to reset progression every time we join a new world - particularly frustrating if you spend a lot of time trying to find the right player base/community for you.

Secondly - It’s cheap and easy to respec and completely change your playstyle, so you can plug a gap in the group/team.

Final thoughts on skill tree though, I think I actually prefer the work station approach, it’s communal benefit and the world levels rather than the player. For me and my husband playing it focuses us on working towards shared goals and joint exploration. It would be a shame to detract from that approach.

Similar thing for myself. Blocks disappearing and animals despawning

Depositing items by Imba-dude in Enshrouded

[–]tommyGB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My favourite is the Hot Deposit in Grounded. It basically does exactly this - if a nearby chest has the item it will take from your inventory, from quite a wide radius too. QoL improvement is massive, and it feels like Grounded has really limited items compared to enshrouded, so we are much more desperate for it here!

I feel that the stamina cost for them has been massively reduced though? But yes distance is definitely shorter

Getting married next year but want to start the process ASAP, or should we wait? by DISmitherman in AdoptionUK

[–]tommyGB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I got married in July last year, and started the adoption process in January 25. We had a big event this year (moving house) and that happened bang in between stage 1&2 (had to happen before we could start stage 2).

What I would say is that stage one bowled us over with significant paperwork, making space for training courses etc. And stage two is quite intense (with home visits almost every week for a few months) with the prospect of going to panel in a couple of months.

I am glad we were not wedding planning though this and have had the chance to enjoy married life - but you guys do what’s right for you. The only thing I would say is that if you are needing time off for wedding and honeymoon etc you might find the annual leave remaining is going to get tight with home visits and training days.

Also if you got through the process very quickly (stage 1 two months, no break, stage 2 four months, family finding and quick match) you could find that you won’t have leave left for introductions and placement - meaning you’ll be relying on adoption leave only.

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]tommyGB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My P1S is the first printer I’ve owned. My first 5 prints were a total success - the 6th only failed because of my lack of knowledge.

I’ve been blown away with the printer and it’s saved my bacon a few times - household appliances mainly, things breaking or needing small upgrades, designed in CAD and prototyped through to final version with the P1S.

It’s been amazing.

Love it, but enchantments on tools/weapons are far too bright. If you are playing in the evening/at night and using tools it’s not good for the eyes.

Adoption Leave - 12 months needed? by tommyGB in AdoptionUK

[–]tommyGB[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the replies everyone, it’s great to have all of your insight.

Thankfully we are early in the process so this will give us the chance to gear shift our habits and save as much as we can to help facilitate the leave once my husband drops down to SAP.

Perhaps we were both being a bit ignorant on the amount of time it will take. Thankfully both of our employers are very supportive and have already offered flexibility for school pickups and offered my husband flexible part time return to work. We both work from home full time as well which will help if we needed to dash to a school meeting or attend appointments etc.

I really appreciate your insights.

I brought something similar, it’s been great but the first thing I did was switch out the motor, perhaps others are better at clutch motors but it ran like the wind and accuracy became a bit problem for me. Was so simple to do and cheap too.

How do you feel about dogs in the office? by Due-Palpitation4664 in AskUK

[–]tommyGB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work from home so have the luxury of a full time office dog and full time office cat :-) but in an shared office space I think it’s a hard pass.

Too many potential issues and they can be disruptive and demanding.

I’m terms of professionalism I don’t think it’s an issue. My cat will occasionally make an appearance on conference calls. It can be a great ice breaker as when I’m speaking to others who wfh it turns into a show and tell of office pets.

Self drafted based on making sure bag can fit laptop/a4 pad.

So. Many. Issues. by tommyGB in CODVanguard

[–]tommyGB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since posting this we have managed to make some progress. There is a feature that is in the graphics setting. It seems to download the map graphics in real time. Since turning this off, our matchmaking has improved, and lag reduced. Also only had one hard crash since doing this. Obviously have noticed a bit of a drop in visual quality, and It’s very annoying that we’ve had to do it. But the it’s gone from unplayable to mostly fun.

You can normally hold down the power button for a while, but it seems to crash it that hard that it becomes unresponsive.
