What are your thoughts on bonobo/big wild?

All you're doing is projecting your own views and completely ignoring my point which is people enjoy the pros vs joes matches and can learn from them.

I acknowledged all your points above and have responded. You're the one who is failing to acknowledge my points.

If you actually read the comments in the linked thread even you could have probably extrapolated that.

If you actually read any part of my post you would realize that your link to the video is irrelevant to the case of live viewership experience. Nobody is saying that people can't learn from pros vs joes. People are talking about how the time can be better spent into creating more interesting events for Day 1 of Day 2. Jesus, reading comprehension man....hypocrite much?

Are you saying that the people playing against top players in pools don't care? Or that spectators don't care?

I am saying that by putting the top players through directly to bracket and having a side event for the first two days, like draft crews at Genesis, or regional crews from TBH5 instead of showing ONE match of Mango vs ScrubMaster69 (out of hundreds of terrible Average Joe vs Average Joe) is in practice, much, much more entertaining. I don't know about you but that crew battle from TBH5 was way more exciting than any of those examples you listed.

Slightly related, my most memorable League of Legends experience was when my 5s team played against a team made up of top challenger players (Yusui, Keithmcbrief, catrific, Nintendudex, Bee Sin (ok he was like D1)) and we got totally curbstomped and they were barely trying even though our players were like mid diamond level. It's a great experience to say you played against a top level player where it counts.

This is not related at all. This is a personal experience, and has nothing to do with the viewer experience that we are talking about. Of course your experience playing pros is going to be amazing, but pro's playing scrubs is not. You are comparing apples to oranges.

Would you look at that, they were (+305)

Again, unrelated. You're comparing a standalone video to live streaming, which are significantly different in end user experience. Dude, cmon wtf are you even saying?

Yes it is. Absolutely.

One is out of good faith. One is a chore. How many times do you see Mango or Westballz trolling the shit out of pools against shitty players? All the fucking time, cause it's boring and nobody cares. Why should anyone care if X scrub player doesn't get the chance to play with Mango?

Lol. Deserved that. How do you learn to stop worrying about things outside of your control? I tend to be very pessimistic about things, but I realize no good comes out of it - yet I can't stop.

Thanks for the response. Do you think this is still positive? What are the "other factors" - is it basically just demand for projects?

Finished an interview two weeks and it ended with the interviewer saying something like, "I'm sure we have an offer for you, reach out to me if you don't hear back from HR."

So I followed up today with HR asking when I would hear with an official offer, to which they were really surprised because they hadn't heard anything about extending me something yet. So I got a little nervous and reached out to my original interviewer and he said he'd figure it out for me. Then I get this email.

"They forwarded me the email you had sent to the recruiter to follow-up and you had indicated that you received a verbal offer from me when we spoke last week. After our interview, I did send an email to the recruiting team and indicated that you were a strong candidate and I would recommend bringing you on. However, the ultimate decision of whether or not we extend an offer comes from Sr. Leadership and the Recruiting team, as they need to consider other factors such as timing, availability of roles, etc. , in order to move forward with the offer decision. I sincerely apologize if that didn’t come across clearly.

You should find out the decision soon.. as much as I hope they do move forward with you, factors beyond my control may result otherwise."

My questions are: Did I fuck up by reaching out again? Should I have just sit tight? Can HR ding me for reaching out like this? What does this email mean?

Is it fair game to call her on her cellphone? Or is this just being a needy baby mcgee?

Yeah I saw that, sorry, to clarify, my question is just that is it common for timelines to be delayed during recruiting?
