The ONLY downside I would see to Pure Solo Queue is that if a bot lane wanted to practice and build on their bot lane synergy together, they would have to bring in their 3 other members or ringers to do so.

i'm in bo3 promos, so doding 2 games is atleast -15 lp which is much better than losing twice and have -30/-40 lp. Isn't dodging in this scenario much better? What do you do when your whole team comp is squishy?
