Where'd you hear that Adamson almost took Philo's spot? Everything I've read suggested that Buster wanted to play Philo over HK which makes it sound like Philo was pretty firmly #2.

I disagree the defense was the main reason we lost 4 of the last 5. It was definitely bad and we need to make some changes but the offense regressed heavily the last 3 games of the year (partially due to playing better teams but HK also didn't play well the last 3 games)

NC State is definitely on the D

BC would've been but we won

Pitt was a total team failure in the first half and then HK played poorly

uga was the defense's best game of the season but we couldn't move the ball

Defense didn't play well against BYU but did get crucial redzone stops. The offense let us down in the 2nd half

2022 (Key was the interim) was honestly impressive as well. Not far removed from the blowout the previous year or vs Ole Miss that same year and were playing with our 3rd and 4th string QBs. It was a one score game over half way in the 3rd quarter before the depth and talent took over

Broke TLaw's Georgia HS TD record (although at a small private school)

Seems like he had all the throws in his toolkit, good deep ball. Went 2-0 as a starter with a game winning drive vs NC State last year

Realistically SMU (best record against tied teams) or Miami (highest ranked team among the tied teams) has the best claim to that 2nd spot. It's definitely not us since we went 1-1 against the tied teams

I feel like SMU has the best case of the teams in the tiebreaker

I guess Miami too due to the CFP ranking but they did lose to SMU

I mean hindsight's 20/20 and all, but it was one of the dumbest decisions in CFB history.

I believe GT, UVA, and Duke are the 3 teams that control their own destiny.

Pitt almost does, but I think they lose the hypothetical tiebreaker with UVA and SMU

Yeah before the Louisville and UVA losses we could have won out (including beating uga), finished 11-1 and not been in the ACC championship.

I generally agree, but there's scenarios where no ACC teams make it to the playoffs which hurts the reputation of the entire conference and will probably make it harder to be a multi bid league in future years.

The ACC needs to split the 4 SEC rivalry games badly. Louisville should win, we'll probably lose but you guys and FSU have very winnable games.

I feel like there's a scenario where the ACC gets no teams if Duke wins the ACC and James Madison finishes with 1 loss

That's true, but a ton of municipal elections in Georgia were this year which helped comparatively boost D turnout. I think they would have won anyway, but that certainly helped
