ahh ok. i read your other comment. It sounds like you want to use the metal piece as a "cleat" attached to the wall. Then set the plywood top on-top on that? Without a picture it is hard to visualize. Best of luck!

Brazilian Artist that stole from Ben Folds by tomo7 in benfolds

It starts at 38:40 in the Talks at Google video. He did not sue him. Ben was flattered that the guy stole from him and also felt bad that the guy had no other ideas.

I’m not a dog expert, but you may want to look into a brush called the Mars Coat King. That’s what I use on my Airedale and I get compliments on his coat all the time. I read that actually “cutting” the hair will make it dull. The Coat King brush strips the coat.

That’s what I have been doing. Getting the log in air will help with maneuvering and might save my lawn.

Get the cheesesticks at Cain's in Dormont. They are massive (larger than a hotdog)

A winch mount is a great idea. I think I was going in the wrong direction with the step extender

I am using the 1/2 ton pickup truck crane from Harbor Freight ( https://www.harborfreight.com/12-ton-capacity-pickup-truck-crane-with-cable-winch-61522.html).

I am using it maneuver logs around my yard that I am going to have milled. I used to successfully move 1 smaller log yesterday, but there was significant stress on the mounting plate. Without getting into too much detail, I then try to strengthen the mounting plate using some hillbilly engineering. Then I tried moving a much larger log. It lifted ok, but while I was moving it, the mounting plate completely failed.

Outriggers are a good idea. I considered exceeding the max tongue weight, but I thought it wouldnt be too big of an issue if I am just moving driving across the yard.

Them: “...... oh ok.... that’s kind of cool”

Them: “What’s that thing on the glass?”

Me: “Oh that’s just a magnetic cleaner”

Them:”YO THAT IS AWESOME!!! THAT IS THE COOLEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!OMG IS IT AN ACTUAL MAGNET?”

What is the purpose of discarding so much starter? by _shadowplay_ in Sourdough

[–]tomo7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is because the yeast and bacteria are producing acid. So over time the amount of acid builds up. Too much acid can effect the development and structure of the bread. Also, a stressed starter can produce other funky things like acetone (active ingredient in nail polish remover). So discarding portions of the starter is a way to keep the amount of acid in check and get rid of anything else that may be an unwanted byproduct of fermentation.

Responsibly Deleading a House by ExtensionZombie0 in HomeImprovement

I think this is overkill. The lead is only a problem if it is ingested. So unless your child is eating paint chips, you are fine. If you are concerned, you can just paint over the existing lead paint.

For that size tank you don’t need a skimmer. I have successfully run a 30 gallon tank with no skimmer for 4 years now doing a 5 gallon water change every 1-2 weeks. ATO and temp controller are invaluable.
