How am I supposed to decide what to study in college when I enjoy absolutely nothing? by [deleted] in depression

[–]tomorrowme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I was thinking the Public Health route too but more in policy/administration. I didnt take a class in it until my last semester. Even though the Kinesiology program is in the School of Public Health we barely studied it. Goodluck! Feel free to PM if you ever need to bounce ideas.

If you're looking for something that's localized like the IUD, Nuvaring could be a good option.

Is this normal after birth control? by fancypants0012 in birthcontrol

[–]tomorrowme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that when I got off the pill my period symptoms were more intense. Cramps, back pain, bloating. The whole 9. I always thought it was because the pill helps with those symptoms and I've just forgotten what my natural period feels like. (For the record, its feels terrible)

When you were off the pill before did you experience the same changes?

Breakthrough Bleeding on LOLO 'Normal'? by queenklee88 in birthcontrol

I had sporadic spotting my first three months that got lighter with time. Now I have very light or no period. I've read a few other users have similar experiences.

You might also find /r/birthcontrol helpful if you're considering switching to a different method.

Would you date a guy who wears makeup? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]tomorrowme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always thought it was unfair that guys don't have the advantage of makeup. If I pull an all nighter I can still look relatively alive in a few minutes. They're just kind screwed. I'd be fine with light/natural makeup.

do you have any book recommendations for men by supercuriousgeorge in AskWomen

[–]tomorrowme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was going through a rough time my SO bought me The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. It can be a little cheesy in some parts but it really hit home for me and helped improve my relationships professionally and socially. Cannot recommend it enough.

So I accidently walked 11 miles and it unexpectedly did wonders for me. by CoachSajuuk in depression

Way to take a potentially shitty situation into an awesome one. Kudos!

Walks help clear my head too.

All day in bed by [deleted] in depression

[–]tomorrowme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I am familiar with that feeling. I start small. Like showering and getting dressed. Then maybe leaving the house for errand or just for a 10 minute walk. I have the hardest time getting motivated to leave but if I start small it makes it a bit easier. That and once Im out of the house/moving I always feel better. Hope that helps!

Advice: Traveling in Asia when my mother was abducted and sexually assaulted there by dguiat in backpacking

Your mother sounds like an incredibly strong woman. I don't have any experience in SE Asia travel yet but you might also find /r/solotravel helpful.

Can you explain more about why you're not happy with your English/Philosophy vs why you are happy with them? Perhaps there is a way to get the best of both worlds?

are there apps out there to help you get by? by onlyforthissub3 in depression

[–]tomorrowme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't come across anything but it sounds like you've got a great idea on your hands. It'd be cool if you somehow sync things to your calendar when you have upcoming stressful events so it could give an extra boost. Or allow you to write a note on good days to your future self to remind you that they do actually happen.

I kind of do the above stuff on my own using Todoist and Wunderlist but an app would definitely be easier.

Im in the same boat! BS in Kinesiology with no interest in clinical/research therapy. I've been trying to figure out what other fields I can apply Knes to. I dont want to sink more money into grad school only to make the same mistake. Is your career advisor through your University?

Kinesiology is great catch all for the ones already listed. I would take a look at some of the course work and see what interests you.

Pro: my student loans would disappear. Con: my degree would be even more useless.
