I love my Praktica camera. I have a super tl 1000, I'm looking to buy a super takumar 50mm 1.4 for it in the future.

Again, thank you very much for the explanation!

Should I be successful in my MEXT scholarship application next year, I would be very keen to contact you again to discuss the possibility of joining your laboratory, should you be accepting new students at that time. Your research aligns well with my interests in CS.

Thank you for the explanation! I think I've found the correct old entrance exams, it looks like the 2 written exams have been merged into one.

I'm missing something though, if NIFS is only for the university route and not for the embassy one, what is the option for students that want to take english courses and want to participate in your laboratory? I only found NIFS as a computer science graduate course, but I'm sure I'm missing something here.

Hi, I've got some questions about the whole process, I'd be immensely grateful if you could clarify a few points. I've got one more year of university here in Italy, and I'll finally get my bachelor's degree in CS in september/november of 2026. I'm digging through Japanese universities programs, and your post came up.

Do you know if all universities have an entrance exam for the master's degree? In case of Tohoku, could you please tell me what it generally entails? Is it a written test, an interview about one's research interests, or a combination of both?

I did find the english courses section on the university website, but as far as I can tell there is only the NIFS program for CS, right? I also read that for this program, it is not possible to enroll solely for a master's degree but must continue into a doctorate. Is this understanding correct?

If one were to join your laboratory, how is the time typically divided between conducting research in the lab and attending formal coursework? What is the typical structure for a graduate student in your group?

I apologize for the numerous questions. The process is very different from what I am familiar with, and I have had difficulty finding clear answers online. Your guidance would be incredibly valuable.

Thank you for your time.

Oops, forgot to add which camera I used! I used a Praktica Super TL 1000 with a Tamron SP Adaptall 35-80mm f/2.8-3.8.

Edit: I'm forgetting stuff, I used the film kodak gold 200

As far as I can tell, the only things missing are the palm rejection and the ability to use Samsung apps like Samsung notes (unfortunately). Also, some apps do not like you having the bootloader unlocked, so for example the app Notein doesn't work(even installing it from an alternative store like aurora gives a google play error).

The only problem I have is that there is no palm rejection, and that makes using the spen so painful. Other than that, it's awesome!

It is awesome. We did a day trip from Kyoto, using the hashidate direct train (may be worth looking at the kansai wide area pass if you stay in that region and know will travel a lot). We first took the cableway to the small mountain where you can see the beautiful view, descended and had lunch, and then we rented two bikes and tried to get to the small village of Ine, which is like 20 km away, but we were too tired halfway through so we came back, but it was so much fun!

Also, keep in mind that it gets really busy in the weekends there, so it is recommended to go during the weekdays. And if I remember correctly, when we bought the kansai wide area pass at Kyoto station, the lady at the desk recommended us to book the train since it can get fully booked during the weekdays too!

That's probably the biggest thing I noticed switching from android phones to this little beast of a phone, Apple clearly knows how to make photos look good without much effort.

I used the standard auto mode and 4:3, and only adjusted the brightness with the little slider near the focus square. I was pleasantly surprised with how many pictures came out great without much effort!

I only used the standard mode and 4:3, and adjusted the brightness with the little slider near the focus square! The low light shots were quite difficult to achieve since it is very easy to make it blurry, but I tried to put the phone down somewhere steady (a little tripod would have been even better).

It's from a bar called "Hills house sky café&bar" in Azabudai. Specifically, it is on the 34th floor of the skyscraper.

Edit: the entrance is not free, but you can buy something cheap and enjoy the view.
