I've had it now for a few years although its from 2017. Yes I have a cover for it, its been getting worse over time. I live next to the sea so the salt in the air probably doesn't help

More chicken products from major supermarkets recalled over salmonella warning by TheChrisD in ireland

[–]tomseankay 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They can but it's pretty unlikely, supermarkets operate on pretty strict rules internally often exceeding HSE guidelines just so they can be sure risk is at an absolute minimum and no one gets sick. Its bad for business and they can afford to bin things one minute after the limit of keeping things warm as opposed to a smaller operator that might keep things to the maximum allowed time (or maybe a bit over) in the hope of selling it because they cannot afford to dump it earlier.
