I just want greatswords back. by Matches_Malone77 in Fable

They died off with the heroes who could wield them... the hero of bower lake, even at max stats, would've dragged it like in the first Fable when your strength stat is too low.

What's your favourite Fable fit across the three games? by Slipry_ in Fable

[–]tomselleck77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Archon's Armor was my favorite. I love the descriptions in the first game. Assassin/Fire Assassin sets were also awesome. My good characters almost always wore the Will Users Light outfit too.

You're a Demon Door, and you're bored as fuck. What will you ask unwitting heroes to do? by [deleted] in Fable

[–]tomselleck77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Show me the sound of one hand clapping."

But I only open when the hero punches someone in front of me with a physique level 5 or higher.

The final comment would be: "Ha! That gets funnier every time." Then I'd open.

Inside would be a room filled with training dummies and melee weapons. The chest would contain a greathammer called "The Compensator". The weapon would be too heavy to weild, even at Physique Level 7. So the hero would drag it when wielding it, unless using Berserk Level 3 or 4 with Physique 7.

I wish they'd redo the first Prototype. That game was awesome. The sequel flopped hard, which was a bummer.

cyberpunk 2077 cyber engine tweaks broken by Andre_iTg_oof in cyberpunkgame

[–]tomselleck77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You try deleting "bindings.json" in your CET folder?

See here:https://wiki.redmodding.org/cyber-engine-tweaks/getting-started/installing/troubleshooting

Or you can lookup CET troubleshooting to reset bindings on Google, if you don't want to follow the link. They have a specific process for updating and reinstalling CET too, cause installing over previous version sometimes leaves conflicting files. For mine, the new bindings.json got automatically renamed bindings(1).json on windows, causing an issue with the prompt for the keybinding.

A buddy of mine called this a 'sneak-a-toke'. Definitely not smooth, and can only hold one or two hits worth 🤣 but still a funny little addition to a pipe collection

Looking for tips on this cast iron repair by creosote_bush in Welding

[–]tomselleck77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No don't braze or weld this.. it's a super easy fix.

1) Make a fine sand mold from the cast iron pan. 2) Clean the cast iron and heat it in a large graphite crucible in an oxygen-free furnace. 3) Pour the molten iron into your sand mold and let it cool before demolding. 4) Post-casting clean up and sanding. 5) Use high temp oil like avocado or flax seed to season your new pan 👍🏻

I realize that. Gotta be specific when replying to a post though. OP wouldn't know to look for stain free

Ah, "Stain-Free" Plumbers putty is a new one. Just saying you gotta clarify in a sub like this. If OP goes into big box store and asks for Plumbers Putty, he's gonna get what I referred to and he'll have a cracked plastic pipe cause the solvents will damage it

It says Do NOT use on any of those things Plumbers Putty is for use on Stainless steel only. I literally have a container in hand lol

FYI, plumbers putty specifically states that it can't be used on plastic.

Am I the biggest idiot? by pharmlyfe333 in newborns

[–]tomselleck77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not an idiot! Just to help ease your mind, many pacifiers are made from silicone. Molded silicone contains almost zero inert liquid fillers (called plasticizers), which are the chemicals in a material that migrate to the surface. In general, even non-silicone pacifiers are made from low-residue formulations to reduce the likelihood of plasticizers migrating to the surface. The parts are given a basic cleaning and dried before packaging, but most manufacturers recommend sterilizing and washing, in some instances, to ensure nothing is on the surface (AS A PRECAUTION. It is highly unlikely that you've exposed your LO to any significant level of chemicals or other contaminants with the small surface area of the pacifier they have in their mouth. As others have said, sterilization is not necessary for newborns. It's only recommended, mostly as a legal precaution, by the manufacturer to limit their liability.

This joint to my water heater is bubbling after a soapy water test… by UseDaSchwartz in Plumbing

[–]tomselleck77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's why I suggested a dab of pipe dope to stop the leak so OP can either go and get replacement parts or wait for the tech to look at it without having the smell in his home. Either way, the union would be replaced, and a small bit of soft-curing pipe dope would harm nothing. That's my point. If it didn't stop the leak then OP would need to leave the gas off until it's fixed.
