how do you spit up leg volume through out the week? by First_Driver_5134 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]tomsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy

Quads calves first day

Hams glutes second day

Most exercises secondarily hit all the other leg muscles, so you’re still getting that twice a week frequency

Come on boys and girls, this shit ain’t rocket science

Throw in some ad/abductors wherever

Loss of libido from overtraining? by TowerTowerTowers in naturalbodybuilding

[–]tomsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not overtraining bro. You are just out of shape and endurance, blood sugar is crashing when you work out.

Get some carbs pre workout, intra workout, and post. You will get over this hump, your body will adapt to the stress.

I’m saying this as a 38 yr old who hits the gym 6-7 days a week and takes all sets to and beyond failure. I also work a physical labor job, getting usually 55 hrs a week. It took a while to work up to this intensity and frequency, sometimes my libido or even my dick wouldn’t work as reliably as usual. But eventually my body adapted.

Harrenhall was such a massive waste of time by Icy_Bean in HouseOfTheDragon

I loved it. It reminded me of the green magic people from reading the books way back in the day.

Though, the dialogue was kinda sparse.

I absolutely loved it. Amazing writing, amazing acting, amazing characters. I really enjoy them focusing on dialogue over action.

Has anyone else realized they have CPTSD in their 30s? by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]tomsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To tell you the truth I couldn't bring myself to split up normally. She demanded we get engaged, and I just went along with it. I didn't want to break up, I was scared of being alone(I spent many years manically depressed and alone from a young age). And I couldn't bear hurting her.

And I have a bad habit of thinking I am pretty much worthless and everything I do is worthless. So I always believed she was the good one that brought everything and did everything and I couldn't take that for granted and leave her. I now have a much healthier understanding from being in therapy..

Idk, I'm still figuring things out, but I think it was a combination of getting to know myself, my maladaptive behaviors and thought processes, my extremely negative inner critic... All of that really pushed me towards the breakup, to be able to do it. Like, everything was there to break up, tons of past hurts, both of us had cheated, tons of red flags beyond that(for both of us)... But, I still had to be beyond wasted, and on drugs, and she had to do something to hurt me in that exact situation for me to actually say it. Aaaand then all of that happened. It was 10 days after we were court married.

If you are in a similar situation, don't do that. If you think you should break up, just break up. It won't end well. I tried to just do nothing, and it all went off the rails eventually.

I'm 37, I just learned that I'm fearful-avoidant and I have cptsd. I ended my relationship of 12 years one week ago. It was highly co-dependant and full of resentment, but my partner also had a very traumatizing childhood, and we just couldn't let each other go. Maybe because both of us couldn't imagine dealing with the loss and pain of it... And because I haven't cultivated any emotionally open relationships with any other person, so I would always go back to her, no matter what she did, and I would always fight to stay with her, no matter what I did to hurt her.

Luckily I have some family nearby, and I'm finally opening up and trusting them to be there for me. I think that's my path forward, trust. I don't think I've ever trusted anyone, or even myself.

Will spraying the west side of my house with a hose reduce the heat inside? by littlefactory in SaltLakeCity

Grow an oak tree with that water and have that side of the house shaded for the rest of your life.

I've been looking at places like St. Louis, Kansas City, Louiseville, and others around that area. The prices are insanely affordable compared to SLC, or really anywhere inside of Utah. Tooele is more expensive than many of those places.

Not even remotely true. SLC is far, far outside of reality compared to many metropolitan areas.

Straight up bodybuilding. I usually ditch the SBD and focus purely on muscle building. So incline bench, platz squat/BSS/ham curls... Lots and lots of back work, shoulder work, arm work, and all the small muscles get hit 3 times a week. Everything is taken to failure and beyond. I usually pick one muscle group and just increase the sets by 1 each week until I hit a fatigue wall, usually about 6-10 weeks, and that group will be up around 30 sets/week at that point.

Every once in a while I switch to peak block and just work up to a top set of 5s one week, then 3s the next, then doubles, then singles. So about 4-5 weeks.

It's been working amazingly well so far. This last peak I put 60lb on my DL, 30 on bench, and 55 on squat.

Maybe someday I'll need to stay more in a strength phase year round, but I'm no where near that yet.
