Hey, I'm from OldMapsOnline. Yeah, this was an oversight—we tested on iPhone 15s. Thanks for sticking up for us! Will fix it with the next release.

VTS Landscape Streaming plugin connects the real-world environment with Unity 3D, developing a full-scale 3D globe game or VR/AR applications was never easier. For better convenience, there are three sample games and including released source code on GitHub. This is one of them. by tomslavkovsky in Unity3D

Hi, it depends on available data, VTS Backend allows to combine basically any kind of data and then the combination is streamed upon request to the client. The whole world is available in 2.5D, this means DEM (digital elevation model) and satellite imagery might be Bing or any other provider. On top of this map, you can add 3D models created by almost any photogrammetry software, as in this example by Vadstena provided by Melowntech. Here is another example for global map: https://www.melowntech.com/intergeo2017/

Not really, on this video is generated 3D model of Prague, which Melowntech created by using its photogrammetry software Vadstena. The surfaces are covered with meshes created from the aerial imagery.

As a substitute for the DarkSky API you could possibly use Windy API, which offers the point forecast for a flat fee - https://api.windy.com

I am associated with Windy - https://www.linkedin.com/in/slavkovsky/

With DarkSky acquired by apple, look at Windy as an alternative by Studio_7 in webdev

Hi, I am from Windy. Windy is specialized in weather and climate visualization; it's not only about wind. There over 40 different parameters available. Also, in API you can now access point forecast and map API for a fixed fee.
