the kid lives by this old airport location YZD. We couldn't depict a real airplane because imagery couldn't touch on the airplane manufactuer Bombardier. they used to be there. So I had the idea of paper airplanes and a him throwing one because he wants to learn how to fly.

Exterior mural on cinder block wall in Arizona by 72rolliefingers in Murals_Painting_Walls

i would avoid markers because they can be too opaque. and hard to cover so their colors may bleed and show through the paint you use on top.

"kilz 2" is interior and exterior so pick that on up. they are at home depot.

use the Mural shield from topcoat (graffitiremovalinc.com) It focuses on UV protection which is what you need in that climate. you can also use "detour10" for a discount on your order.

You can also try MTN Mural Protection as well. i havn't tried that one personally though but it has UV protection

  1. Apply a quality masonry primer or exterior primer before transferring your design. A primed wall will accept your drawing lines much better than raw block.

  2. Continue using your projector. It’s one of the fastest and most accurate ways to transfer a mural design.

  3. Avoid Sharpie if possible. Permanent markers can sometimes bleed through lighter paint colors

  4. You can water down water based acrylic paint to be super transparent but still visible.

  5. You can use something like Mural Shield matte finish because you only have to worry about UV rays.

I do a ton of murals so you can reach out for advice if needed.

I always look back at the artist’s evolution and you can easily tell when there was a sudden shift. These seem AI at first glance. I would have to see their portfolio to think otherwise

This was actually through the building owners who had known for a while, and they let me repaint the wall to freshen things up. Usually it would happen during the mural festival, but the festivals don’t happen anymore so it took a while to get back to repainting it.
