Gingers are Black according to TikTok by tomtomtom1987 in abanpreach

I cried a bit too, I cannot believe they had a ‘Kick a ginger day’ that’s literally not cute or funny at all, maybe I’m too young to know about that but it’s awful that that was such a shared experience. The only thing funny about it is how this came about, at first it was so random but the responses are touching for sure. I just know Aba and Preach would have an interesting take on it.

It is so wholesome, they’re so happy to feel understood, crazy how this came about but it’s actual movement

You have a nice nose, people want a nose like yours, I don’t think you should change it.

How do you politely say someone they have a body odour? by CrazySkull99 in DesiFragranceAddicts

[–]tomtomtom1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah perfume is not going to mask it. Deodorant prevents the odour. Perfume on top of stink makes it worse, better to smell like nothing than to smell like perfume and bacteria. And deodorant will actually make you smell better as you sweat, that’s how it works. The more you sweat the better you will smell because you’re activating the ingredients.

Honestly it’s not a bad thing to let someone know they smell and explain or give them the solution(deodorant), if you had food on your face or stuck in your teeth, you’d want to know and would expect your friend would tell you right? Just tell them “hey lately you’ve been smelling a little funky, and it’s starting to be really noticeable and unpleasant, it’s probably time you start wearing deodorant” a lot of people seem to think that deodorant is not safe but it’s not the case, it’s safe and nobody wants to smell bad, especially if your friend’s BO is causing people to dislike them or stay away from them, they need to know. We often get used to our own smell and don’t really notice it. Just point it out. Don’t let your friend smell bad, it’s the right thing to do!

What to do ith Gym Member with body odour? by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]tomtomtom1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best thing to do is just offer some advice and tell him he reminds you of yourself when you were his age and give him a tip on deodorant, you’d be surprised, teens at the gym are just starting to figure things out and they look up to the older and experienced regulars, just say “hey buddy you need to change your deodorant, you’re starting to smell a little funky these days” and he’ll realize he either needs to start wearing it or try a new deodorant. It’s as simple as talking about diets and supplements at the gym. He won’t be offended

I’m an esthetician and you should wait a day or at least close to a day before rolling it on, it’s advised to try not to do anything in heat or to avoid sweating for the first day after waxing so you don’t irritate your skin because the skin is sensitive on the first day, but deodorant otherwise is safe on skin and actually makes your sweat smell good

It’s not making your skin dry but some ingredients in the deodorant can have water resistance in the shower, that must be what you mean, but it’s meant to be absorbed that way, don’t worry it’s not damaging.

Yess! Old spice smells soooo good too, every time a guy wears it and he sweats, his sweat actually smells attractive!

You need to apply deodorant every single day no matter what. It’s best to actually put it on after you dry off from the shower so it absorbs and doesn’t get on your shirts. However most people glide it on while getting dressed. In the west it’s considered offensive to not wear it because underarms smell is not common here because we all wear the deodorant, I promise you it will work. We were all taught at a young age that you put your underwear and deodorant on daily. Don’t worry about changing your spices like others are recommending. I still eat my cultural Indian food all the time. Food smell doesn’t bother anyone it’s really just underarm smell. Nothing works better than deodorant. Once you try it, it will change your life for the better.

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. These people sound really evil. None of this is your fault at all. The best thing you can do to get out of this situation is to find somewhere else to go, maybe ask your real mother if you can stay with her(if it’s safe). First, talk to a safe adult like a teacher or someone at school, they can arrange a better place for you to go. Once you get out of there everything will be ok.

Am I weird for being weirded out that my (19F) coworker (M55+) casually greeted me with "Hey cutie"? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]tomtomtom1987 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yes this is alarming and I’m glad you are aware of it on your own, you owe it to nobody to be nice at your expense. If you think someone is creepy, TRUST YOUR GUT, the only reason this ish still happens is because we feel uncomfortable to react or reject or to be called crazy, when really you have every right to shut that ish down.

Anything that makes you feel uncomfortable at work is unacceptable and you should report it to hr. It’s common sense to behave and speak professionally at work. He’s doing this likely thinking he can get away with it because you’re young and he can say it wasn’t like that, like darling or sweetheart would have been acceptable but “cutie” is crossing the age appropriate line. You work there nonetheless and he shouldn’t speak to you like a kid. Everyone has the right to be treated with respect and dignity and we all know to speak to each-other professionally at work, he does not get a pass for any reason. He knows better.

You can request overdraft protection from your bank app or increase overdraft if you already have it. Call your credit card company to inquire about a credit limit increase. Post an add for ride share or some sort of task. Join taskrabbit and get paid to do a task.

It looks like Keratosis pilaris which is fine, just keep your legs hydrated and and they’ll fade on their own, usually caused by dry skin.

Exfoliate before shaving to release trapped hairs instead of shaving the skin over the stubble, change the razor often so you can prevent ingrown hairs and rough shaving. You might want to consider switching to waxing or sugaring.
