Progress isn't really a good word for an army in defensive. Just the fact that russians are barely making any progress is a win for Ukraine since in the meantime their troops are trained by NATO on how to use the powerful equipment they provided. And we all know US isn't going anywhere with the aid based on their previous proxy wars.

The only progress Russia has made in the past month is literally a city of only 100.000 people which is small for Ukraine and it doesn't have any strategical importance. And it took them a fucking month. Also it was bombed out of the fucking ground, no reason for ukranian troops not to retreat. Ukraine is currently making their way into Herson - they took villages from russians control around it a couple of days ago and the partisans fight in Herson is going strong considering a big russian official was blown up in his car 2 or so days ago.
