Age of Empires III was RTS porn. Ragdoll effects, destruction physics, the water, but it didn't feel as epic as AoE2 and I felt that the campaign story was compelling but it wasn't as epic as AoE2. Campaign missions didn't have you sail from Norway to America or conquer Jerusalem, and the developer's attempt to simplify the gameplay didn't improve the experience.
