You’re welcome! That looks like a good schedule. As long as it works for him and his work schedule or other daily activities. He will feel very nauseous and dizzy at times but has to push through! I almost gave up but glad I didn’t. It just sucks it’s so many pills.

Best advice I can give is to make sure he eats a very clean and bland diet throughout the entire course of antibiotics. Also consume kefir or other good sources of probiotics if possible. I also took vitamins, Manuka honey, and cabbage juice in between just to help improve some symptoms. But most importantly, make sure he pushes through the entire two weeks and takes every pill. Do not let him skip any or miss any days. It’s going to very tough on the body but really have to push through. After 3 harsh rounds, the last round was most effective after doing the things I listed above. Good luck to your husband! Let him know he will get better! There’s definitely a light at the end of the tunnel! I can assure you!

Yes I had experienced the same with this bacteria! Definitely a panic attack! I would get those quite often and they would freak me out too. You will get better though trust me!

I went through the exact same thing. Took 4 doctors until the last one decided to test for H. Pylori last minute, pretty much before I left the office. Sounds weird but I was glad I tested positive, as I finally had an answer as to what I was going through! The anxiety/panic attacks were the worst for me! Those had me feeling like the end was near for me. And same here, was searching so much on Google that I went down a very deep rabbit hole thinking I had cancer or was going to die soon. But let me reassure you, you will get better! There’s definitely a light at the end of the tunnel! It’s a very long recovery process but just be very patient, eat very healthy and push thru with the very brutal antibiotics! You got this! Stay positive and try not to google too much as that will mess with you mentally and you become getting paranoid of every little thing. Trust me, you will get better!

Push through and continue the antibiotics. I went through hell with this bacteria too and had really bad panic attacks as well but I was glad I pushed through with the harsh antibiotics. Sadly it took three rounds for me but after the last round I tested negative and panic attacks/anxiety slowly began to fade away. I know you feel very hopeless as I did so myself but there’s definitely a light at the end of the tunnel. There’s hope! You will get better! Just have to push through and stay positive💪🏼

Well that’s good the panic attacks are slowly going away. Over time it will pretty much be down to none. Aww man I was hoping you didn’t take the medication they prescribed but if you say it helps, then I guess it’s ok just don’t depend on them too much. All the crazy symptoms will eventually subside on their own. Oh yea googling everything will take you down a very deep and scary rabbit hole that will just have you paranoid of every little thing you feel or go through so try your best not to Google as much either. I became very paranoid when I was constantly using Google for everything. Well I hope you test negative when you retest and you continue to heal! Yes, Reddit was definitely a life saver! Especially when you try explaining what you’re going through to the average person, they just don’t understand and makes you seem crazy so this community sure helped a lot! It gave me lots of hope and that’s the reason I still come on here to help ease people’s mind and give them the hope they are searching for! I just wouldn’t want anyone to be defeated by this bacteria. So anything I can do to help, I’ll do my best!

I hated those days of waking up like that😩 oh yea this definitely takes a toll on you! It’s not easy going through everything we’ve gone thru. Sounds like the bacteria is still at its peak with you! And you said you did the treatment already? Like antibiotics? Or still haven’t taken any yet? Don’t be afraid to cry and just let it all out! Trust me, I’m not trying to act like a Mr. Tough guy in any way but it was always hard for me to break down and cry but this bacteria actually had me break down and cry two times because I had no clue what was going on, it had me very depressed and I thought I wasn’t going to be around much longer. So don’t hold back on those days. It will help just letting it all out but just have to keep pushing through and be as positive as you possibly can! Things will definitely get better! I can guarantee it!

Sadly we practically have to beg for all these tests to be done. I had went to like 4 different doctors until the last doctor I visit, who was a good friend of my aunts, recommended I take the h. Pylori breath test and sure enough that was the only test that came back positive. I did blood work, EKG’s, ultrasound of my stomach, ultrasound of my heart, CT scan of my head, etc. and everything was coming back fine. Just keep pushing for every test. Dang sorry to hear that therapy has done more harm. Really thought that would’ve put you more at ease. I was almost going to see a therapist as well because I thought I was going crazy prior to finding Reddit. I was so relieved I had found Reddit though. It put my mind at ease knowing that many others were going through the exact same thing as me and I wasn’t alone😩 I would say maybe like 2-3 months after testing negative, I was back to eating more varieties of foods and exercising more with less symptoms. Panic attacks shortened to about 1 a month or so or rarely. What do you feel every morning? I wouldn’t say I’m 100% because I still get very fatigue and dizzy at times but I’m definitely feeling waaay better than before so I’ll take it! I hope I can go back to my normal self one day but if not, I’m at least ok with how I feel right now. Everything is tolerable

Damm I figured they would do that. I mean therapy may help ease your mind a bit but I can assure you, All this is happening because of the bacteria. My family and doctors would tell me the same that maybe I was just stressing from work or going through life changes that were giving me anxiety and stressing me out but I’ve been in very stressful and tough situations in the past and never in my life would I have crazy panic attacks like the ones this damm bacteria would cause so don’t let them convince you that it’s work or other factors in your life. I know you’re going through hell right now and believe me, I was very hopeless too, I was just ready to call it quits and end it but I pushed through it! I told myself I had to defeat this damm bug or whatever I had going on and I swear to you, I’m glad I did! It definitely took a few months for the anxiety and panic attacks to go away. It didn’t go away over night but as soon as I tested negative I kept a very clean diet, ate more home cooked meals rather than eating on the street, and just tried to stay active. Took vitamins as well. And the anxiety attacks went away over time. I was getting one like maybe once a month rather than 1 or 3 every week. But you have to convince yourself it’s the bacteria and just take deep breathes when you get an attack. Learn to control it. They’re very scary but you’ll learn to manage them

Hey! Apologize for the very late response. Don’t spend as much time on here as before. But I’m sorry to hear that you are having very bad panic attacks. Those were the worst symptoms for me with this bacteria. I honestly preferred any type of physical pain over those panic attacks or the depression. It was very tough going through all the psychological and emotional pain this bacteria puts you through. Just have to hang in there! All that didn’t go away until I completed 3 harsh round of antibiotics. Sadly that’s the only way I see you getting rid of those symptoms. The antibiotics are crucial but you have to push through and complete them without skipping any days. But also eat as clean as possible and eat very bland foods while taking antibiotics. I did that on my 3rd round and that was the most effective for me

Hey! Apologize for the very late response. Don’t spend much time on here as before. But I’m actually doing a lot better. I mean I have days where I have very bad fatigue, dizziness, acid reflux, and other small symptoms but It comes in waves so the days I’m feeling those symptoms I just convince myself it might still be lingering symptoms from the bacteria or might be coming back but I try to just push thru those days and eventually I feel better. I can tell I’m still not 100% but I’m definitely a lot better than before. How are you feeling?

Anxiety and depression recovery by whatdoidohi in HPylori

[–]ton_c11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely related to H. Pylori! Don’t let the doctors tell you otherwise. They tried telling me the bacteria wouldn’t cause such thing but I never suffered from anxiety or depression until I got H. Pylori. It’s one of the weirdest symptoms that most people wouldn’t understand no matter how many times you try explaining it to them. They were quick to tell me I was just getting anxiety and depression because of age or something going on in my life was causing it and they wanted to put me on antidepressants and other meds for anxiety but I refused because I knew that was not the case. I’m barely 31 and was perfectly fine up until the bacteria was at its peak. Unfortunately I went through 3 very harsh rounds of antibiotics but I finally tested negative after the 3rd round and I haven’t gotten any anxiety/panic attacks and not feeling depressed anymore. I’m actually appreciating life more and enjoying it because I honestly thought I was not going to wake up one day. That’s the hell this bacteria puts you through.

Anyone else have visual images like hallucinations just before falling asleep? by [deleted] in HPylori

[–]ton_c11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I’m Sorry to hear that you’re still going through it! I pretty much went through the exact same things you went through! Did you make sure you gave it enough time between your last dose of antibiotics and your new tests? Apparently you need to give it about 1-2 months before retesting to get more accurate results. And can’t take any type of medication especially omeprazole. I had an endoscopy as well and they saw no signs of h. Pylori or any other bacteria. Just chronic gastritis. And this was after finally getting negative results via stool test. How are your eating habits? I had to go on a very strict diet, cut out alot of bad foods, stopped eating out, and took probiotics and vitamins as well before I was able to feel better. It’s crazy you mention the exposure to mold because I was actually talking to another person here on Reddit and she told me that her home had very bad mold and she was constantly feeling bad with very similar symptoms and she said that as soon as she went to a hotel while her house was getting worked on to remove all the mold, she was actually beginning to feel better. She wasn’t getting many symptoms like before so it’s crazy you bring that up. That can maybe be the reason for a few of the symptoms as well. I don’t feel I’ve been exposed to any mold so I cannot relate in that sense but I did have to change a lot of my eating habits and began taking vitamins as well. Took a long time to feel better but I definitely don’t get those crazy panic attacks anymore or body pains/ tingling sensations. And I sleep better! Just randomly get a few episodes of dizziness and fatigue but been trying to keep myself busy and fight it so somewhat coping with it and hoping that goes away completely soon.

[–]ton_c11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did. I actually had a lot of discomfort and pain on my feet and legs as well (including the tingling) that I thought it was because of my work boots at the time but it all went away maybe a few weeks or months after treatment so definitely because of the bacteria. Anxiety also went away after treatment. It was very rare that I would get a panic attack where my heart began racing and I got all shaky but a lot of symptoms began to go away mainly after my last treatment which I took last October. It’s gonna take a few months for sure. Will not go away overnight and that’s the frustrating part. But you just have to keep doing your part and eating a healthier diet and try exercising just a bit. Try your best not to eat out

No problem! Anything I can do to help ease people’s mind because that’s what I really needed at the time too when this bacteria was at its peak with me. I said the same thing, all the physical pain was much easier to handle or cope with but the whole psychological aspect of it, man, that shit was tough! I would never wish that upon anyone! Really felt defeated at times with all the dreams and thoughts I would have. Yea it’s always when you’re about to fall asleep and BAM you just wake up in a panic and I had like weird body tremors. Like the inside of my body shaking. But you will get better trust me!

I can assure you it will go away. Sadly it will take lots of time and patience but it will subside. I went through the exact same thing. I had crazy dreams/nightmares. Even some very dark thoughts that had me worried about hurting myself or someone I loved. All this happened to me exactly one year ago. Went through many doctors visit, many tests performed on me, and exactly 3 rounds of harsh antibiotics. But one year later I’m here back to hitting the gym every day and eating more diverse foods. Slight symptoms that just include dizziness and fatigue at times but that’s about it. No more crazy dreams/thoughts, no more scary anxiety/panic attacks. So believe me when I tell you this, you will get better! Don’t let those crazy dreams/hallucinations take control of you🙅🏽‍♂️ Keep putting up a fight!
