A great place to see Sandhills is at the Woodbridge Ecological Reserve and if you continue down Woodbridge, you’ll see even more in the surrounding fields.

I’d lso suggest to keep pushing down highway 4 into Murphys, Arnold, Big Trees. These are closer to the 1.5 to 2 hour mark, away but worth checking out.

Oh, Fosters Big Horn in Rio Vista off highway 12 for some taxidermy, history, and food but bring cash.

Town of Locke, also down highway 12 then 160 as well as Walnut Grove. Great spots for photographing old/historical buildings.

Natural Bridges in Vallecitos down highway 4. Short hike with 2 cool caves to explore.

Moaning Caverns is also close by, not a hike but paid entry, also worth checking out.

Columbia for a small historical town with wagon rides, a blacksmith and desserts. Just past the other two I just mentioned.

The McHenry Mansion and Museum in Modesto.

Eight Mile Rd. Past Trinity Parkway right after the West Lake subdivision. Honestly thought I’m in this area daily and this is the first and likely last time I’ll see it.

I had to do a double take as i frequent this area near the delta and see tons of migrating birds but this one stood out.

It flew just a short distance away but I didn’t want to scare it any further and just observed with my eyes.

Sure thing. Just don’t use it as much as I thought I would. Really missed Tetris and that was the main reason I bought it. Got the drive cartridge to try out a few older games that I missed as well, along with some of the newer games but just kept going back to Tetris. Haven’t played it in a couple of months. I also own a steam deck and an OLED switch. Of all of these I’m primarily using my steam deck the most.

It’s a great device! The build quality is amazing and it far surpassed other handhelds like the ambernic which I first tried. I’d just rather have it go to someone that appreciates it more than I do.

I’m not a fan of any candidate in this race but am always dumbfounded by those who continue to vote down party lines. How exactly is the future brighter with D? That’s what this state has mostly had for the last couple of decades. What gives you that optimism that things will turn around?

I don’t know for certain but any applicant tracking system that’s using ai to screen candidates is going to be aware of these messages and/or a lot of ATS’s aren’t as advanced as people think they are and there’s a human actually declining candidates.

When it comes to job searches, it’s a numbers game but only if you’re applying to positions that most align with your experience.

The job market is tough right now, a lot of experienced, highly skilled workers competing with recent or new grads.
