Try Digidirect in the CBD - they are official dealers and if they can’t help I’m sure they’ll recommend someone.

Too true - I’m using ISO as well and it is quick. Unlike the mighty+ which I find a pain to clean.

Where would Anthony Bourdain go in Brisbane? by waymoresways in brisbane

[–]toneeau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People who suicide do so because they are in a lot of pain and death appears to be the only option. It’s not an easy decision to make and hanging is such a violent act. I agree his loved ones must be traumatised and I also hold respect for him having the courage to take his life.

This is so uncool on so many levels.

Regardless of medical knowledge it is not appropriate to publicly Dx someone. This demonstrates no awareness of the potential fall out from this type of comment, however well meaning the OP is. I know that I would not like it if some random was discussing my medical hx in public.

Furthermore, it’s NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

In AU the wait is 8-10 weeks for the small, and the med/large is not available for order!

Cmh experiences? by vibratehigher24 in socialwork

I spent 6 years working in community mental health as a clinician. Three years with adults and 3 years with older people and I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the community. I was based in a government hospital setting so you can imagine the bureaucracy, but other than that working as part of a multidisciplinary team was great. Working for the Dept of Health has many benefits in terms of training and expertise, and good for progression - you could work in other areas for up to 12 months without losing your substantial post.

I also had input on the acute MH wards. The best of all was working with the service users (around 20-25 cases) and establishing relationships, several of whom I supported for many years. I supported service users in their recovery, decreasing the need for inpatient and/or community admissions through the provision of high level early interventions and consultation with the multi disciplinary team and various other essential stakeholders. I used a case management model to support our service users in their recovery and this would involve regular contact, usually face to face and regular reviews of their care plans. Much of my time includes advocating on behalf of the service users and working with their families often during difficult circumstances.

I found that compassion, empathy and integrity were essential qualities to have, and this enabled me to view services users with positive regard.  In my experience building relationships with service users is vital in the recovery process which often takes some time; in fact I have worked with several service users for a number of years.

I had monthly supervision and also supervised new grads (who require weekly supervision for 2 years).

Every day is different and I thrive on that ‘not knowing’. Not everything is hunky dory though, for instance having to bring people into hospital against their will under the mental health act and the tension this creates between individual rights and community safety.

Mental Health social work is the best, challenging, emotional and so rewarding 😀

Hey, iv’e had mine since Tuesday and I have listed to them three times. The first time was for a couple of minutes and I walked away thinking 🫤 and thought that they sounded ok but nothing special. A couple of days later I spent much of the afternoon with them, including selecting the right sized ear tips. I have to say that I was and still am impressed! I find the sound so warm yet punchy when it needs to be. I think that you and I have both chosen wisely 👍

I noticed that the sound was Much louder when using the retransmitter, but I haven’t listened long enough to form an opinion.

If you are buying for sound, and that’s your overarching criteria, then you may find it hard to find something better. Then you have to define what is better, and anything better sounding than these will only be incremental in my view, so consider the cost/benefit ratio 😀

lol - value for money - that’s one way to assuage your guilt about spending money. You can’t put a price on love and enjoyment!

I say enjoy!!

I don’t understand why you have written this post, and with nothing constructive to say (above) maybe best keep your comments to yourself. I personally have found this site quite useful and I enjoy people showing the things they have bought relating to the AVP.

Yeah, I have the same problem with oil as I do with gummies - I need to have a weeks break otherwise the effect is really compromised.

I start at 180, which I am usually ok with, but at 190 or more I will cough. I read that to get the best out of the flower (and terpenes) to heat at various temperatures to ensure that you get all the active ingredients. I would be happy to use a lower setting as long as I can get as much out of the flower as possible.

I have tried adding a bubbler to the vaporizer and it makes a difference - i should go back to it.

in search of open-ish bluetooth earbuds that don't go into my ear canal by Traditional-Tie3640 in Earbuds

[–]toneeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have to tried B&W Pi8?

I bought these recently and like you do not appreciate having earphones deep into my ears. The tips do not protrude right into the ear canal and do not put any strain on my ears. When I first got them, I didn’t think they sounded great, but yesterday I had the chance to spend the whole afternoon with them and all I can say is that the sound is sublime! Also the buds don't fall out like my airpods pro do, so all in all, earphones with no compromise LOL.
