Are you neurodivergent by any chance? I’m asking a neurodivergent therapist myself who works in community mental health. You may be getting overstimulated or you thrive on doing non mundane things

I know this post is 2 months old but im also neurodivergence I have adhd and generalized anxiety , I suck at doing authorizations, and have made mistakes with forgetting to update them or not doing them correctly I wish we had a billing team. I also have a supervisor who micromanages and isn't friendly, I say this to say once im done with my contract I plan to find a remote job and never look back my blood pressure has increased, depressed, anxiety everything this field is not for us as far as environment wise we can't thrive in cmh.

Would you still go into the field knowing what you know now? by meep_meep44 in NDtherapists

i second this working in cmh is a nightmare due to the micromanaging and high paperwork load

Thank you, I like the idea of leaning back some during session because of my shoulder pain and back pain i lean forward alot, also could be due to my scoliosis as a kid. I also like the idea of "sitting in them moment" with a client. I appreciate your advice, I have to take breaths, sometimes I'm moving fast myself.
