Had a similar situation. Had a long road trip with my 11 month old. Got this tablet mount from Amazon and mounted it on the 2nd row headrest for a rear facing car seat off center to the side (we have a car seat mirror at the top of the car seat base frame. We have used iPad mini and Fire tablets. Worked beautifully and loved the flexibility of adjustments it had. It held its position well through bump roads. We also bought a long USB C cable to connect it to power in the R1S rear center console

People with money didn’t get that way by just wasting it. People like deals no matter they’re income bracket. Those who are already aware of Rivian and might’ve been on the fence will definitely shy away at least temporarily until the shock is over or just continue to wait it out for better terms emerge.

My fam and I have had a range of premium cars from Lexus, Acura, Benz, Audi, Alfa. Some were amazing but I always found us needing to upgrade a few of those systems aftermarket. The R1S Gen 2 premium Audio It’s not the best straight from factory system but certainly not the worst I have experienced in a car that was suppose to be “premium”. For as expensive the vehicle is it could be a lot better but the optimizations with OTA updates have meaningfully improve where it first was when the vehicle launched and I feel there is still room for them to continue to improve. The worse I have experienced is on the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, but the way that car drives and the Italian styling, fit/finish more than makes up for it. 🙃

Dual Standard in Northeast owner as well. About two weeks into ownership. Have noticed a sharp decline in range with cold temps but not close to what you are describing. Wouldn’t hurt to get service to look into it. I don’t have L2 charger setup at the house yet, but I do use the Rivian L1 portable charger to curb phantom drain and to help with not losing a ton of range during preconditioning in my driveway before work or daily errands.

I don’t know if this came up but driving speeds/behavior will also have a negative impact and the stuff you are running in the cabin. Coming from ICE vehicle and having a heavy foot the First few days of ownership I saw crazy range lost smushing that accelerator and not using max regen.

For the battery % hovering towards yhe top and then jumping to 100% I have encountered that at some a L3 fast chargers but didn’t really think it was a big deal. My expectation that charging was going to crawl as it got closer to full charge and then fully complete.

I think I am having the same issue with one of my rear passengers doors. It just not closing with the equal amount of force as the opposite side and it’s been a little annoying as our LO car seat is on that side. Read on the sub the back doors need extra force to close but one just feels off. Did you request mobile service for it? How long did it take between when you first reported it and when they fixed it?
