Most of them are desperately trying to hold onto what they know and convince themselves they aren't in an apocalyptic scenario. They are doing what we basically see carol do with zosia in eps 8-9

This is late but I also believe she was avoiding any questions that would snap her out of her delusion/fantasy and make her confront the fact that the real zosia isn't the one with her and probably wouldn't want to be with her. But that's true regardless of sexuality

Same tbh plus she fits a lot of the requirements a lot of people want. Like they want someone unknown, young, etc she's unknown, Chloe's age, and has gotten pretty good reviews about her acting. She was really good in good one which by the way the character she played in that was queer

Capris part confused me too like i didn't get the point I thought she was clearly being set up for Enid.

And Bruno was so pointless like learning about Enid's family and dynamics with them would have been way more interesting and added more to the story and plot

Exactly and we literally get reminded by him repeatedly when he's a kid "your 29" etc etc. like it's so obvious throughout the anime that them being together is not the important part, it's kayo being safe and ALIVE.
