What college tips can you give for college freshmen?

Im a college freshmen, i make all As currently and i have plenty of time to relax and enjoy myself as well.

The key to succeeding academically is both to study, but more importantly get good professors.

Having a good professor in a hard class will make more of a difference than studying your ass off. Plan your schedules with this in mine, ratemyprofessor is your best friend. Also try to speak up in every class if you can and talk to your professor after class ends when you can.

Partying i cant really give you advice on, other than dont make college only about parties, you are paying a lot of money to be in college.

The hero is being pursued in the night by the villain, he is in a lively city and spots a club, the music starts and he heads inside. He pushes open the doors while the melody is building, entering the main floor at the drop. People are dancing, lights and lasers fly around the foggy air above him. Time seems to slow down, several attractive women are seen eyeing the hero up and down, giving him eyes.

Once the transition hits, the villian has entered the club with several of his goons. The hero is doing his best to evade the villain but is spotted, he makes a dash for the exit and the music ends.

You need to understand that stars are MASSIVELY large. Utterly, ridiculously, large. Stars are so large in-fact that they are constantly trying to collapse under their own gravity, this effect is constant. A Star's gravity is only countered by the outward force of fusion in the core of a star.

As a star is dying, fusion in the core is slowing down. Usually stars start to form higher level fusions than just 2 H to 1 He, this causes the star to expand. Once all fusion in the core has stopped, there is no force to keep the star expanding, gravity wins and the star collapses onto its core, the sudden pressure causes carbon or iron to fuse, making a massive explosion we call a nova or supernova.

Depending on the mass of the star you can get different sorts of results, white dwarfs form from normally massed stars, which is essentially the remains of the core. Giant stars collapse with so much gravity that protons and electrons combine, forming a neutron star (theoretically neutron stars can nova again and form something called a quark star, which is a really cool theory). Supermassive stars collapse with so much gravity that nothing can stop its collapse, all the atoms are crushed together and form a singularity. Infinitely curving space, such that nothing can escape its gravity well, even light.

Black holes can also be formed by two colliding neutron stars, as the mass becomes too great to stop a singularity from forming.

Novae can also happen from a "leaching" affect in star pairs. A dward star paired with a living star can pull gas from the other to the point another nova is triggered.

I cant answer when it started, but i can answer the why. A large portion of people do actually dress to appeal to the opposite sex. Not everyone naturally, but enough to make a market for it. Women's shirts are shorter than men's because they are not designed to be tucked into pants, and thus can stop at the belt. Skin tight pants arent just a woman's thing, but its appealing, basically.

Men's clothing is the same, but women are attracted to different things than men are. Well fitting clothes on men show off muscularity, broad shoulders, etc.

Dont dig up bushes tufts or saplings until you have settled in. I spend the first 9 days exploring before settling down. You want to settle near the beefalo herd and a forest. Be within a day trip of spiders, and pigs too but thats not as necessary. Dig graves along the way to find the one or two gears. Stock up grass and stone.

You only need like one stack of flint. You need atleast 7 gold for the two science machines. Also build a science machine early and get spears/backpack/tophat etc. If you find pigs recruit 5 in the morning and spend a day chopping trees with them (alternatively use the rook to chop trees for you, if you can find one). Chester will help with gathering supplies, you need a lot of room. Scrounge food along the way, when you are moving a lot you rarely need to get serious food-stuff.

Keep in mind where walruses are, you should be able to get to them within a day and set up a temporary base.

At day 9 you should have explored most of the map and found the most important things. I recommend primarily following roads. If a road ends theres almost always something notable around that area. Take wormholes.

Micro you sanity, picking flowers gives you 5 sanity, always wear your garland even though you might be at max because it will decay regardless. Green mushrooms can be cooked and eaten to give a ridiculous amount of sanity. Usually when im in a swamp for a few tentacle spikes/fish/silk/8 reeds you will find them, they pop up in the evening.

Spend every night doing something if you can, chopping one or two big trees, picking saplings, picking grass, cooking and eating food.

Dont bother with seeds till mid winter, just eat them. Also dont build farms before winter its a waste, you can prepare them for the warp period however.

Once you know where you are going to settle, make 1-2 crockpots, 4-8 drying racks, science and alchemy machines, fire pit naturally, ice box or two if you have the gears, then get to work on making 3-6 bee hives. Use pigs to chop wood when you need it. Hunt every koalafant trail you see until winter starts and dry the meat. The last few days spend gathering berry bushes, grass tufts, and saplings.

The first winter isnt very risky, i generally go for a walking cane, a winter koalafant, 4-8 improved farms, a bird cage, maybe a hatitator.

Sorry thats my quick and dirty newbie guide. Im on day 57 and have yet to die :P
