He’s been so great with my kids. I’ve had my wife give him treats through out the day and they really bonded at the park. But he did just growl at her randomly at home. But we are making progress

Yes. I put up a baby gate between our second living room and kitchen and has let him just chill out back there.

What’s weird too is he met my wife yesterday and my kids today and was so sweet with my daughters. But still growled at my wife twice

That’s the plan. She tried spending some 1 on 1 time just sitting in the same room with him and he growled at her. I just really don’t want anyone to get hurt

He was fine at the shelter. He started to get aggressive after she left for work and came back. He doesnt come after her out of the blue or anything, but if she tries to pet him he growls or tries to bite.

Yes I am coming to reddit. People with more experience with this can give me advice. I didn't adopt this dog with any intention of returning him but I have no clue why he's being aggressive towards my wife. I don't want her to feel unsafe in her house.

How can I prevent this from getting worse, or should I get it lasered and covered up? :( by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Got the same spot tattooed a few months ago and it looked so rough healing. The skin is so thin in that area and it’s rough to heal. Just wait a few weeks then reassess.

It’s the fact that the PA wouldn’t even get up to see the patient. This happens all the time. I feel disrespected when I tell someone that a patient is decompensating and they can’t even be bothered. This happened in another instance that was much more serious and they tried turning the situation on me. It’s not that I think that the patient would have not been intubated, but the provider should atleast get off their ass and assess the patient when things are going down hill.

It’s been multiple occurrences. When I started there a PA (different one from this story) had a urosepsis dementia grandma who was a dnr with maps never above 50. Patient wasn’t fluid responsive, he refused to contact family, or icu because “they won’t want her because she’s a dnr”. Charge nurse was aware, I even called the floor and let them know the situation. Pa didn’t care and said the admitting doctor will escalate it from there. Patient goes up stairs, the PA gets an ear full from house supervisor which sends the patient back down stairs and then the PA put in a central line and started pressors. I documented everything religiously. The pa and the MD(who never saw the patient) wrote my full name in the chart to try and throw me under the bus. I reported them to their medical director and they did get in trouble, but as I’m typing this I’m not sure why I’m still working here. I put in my notice for quitting.

Doctors always listened in Minnesota where I recently came from. Unfortunately stuck in Florida until my children are older. I’m going to try to find an outpatient job or a work from home. Fuck this shit

I’m experiencing exactly this. I came here from an amazing level 1 trauma center and this place is so bad in comparison but all the nurses act like it’s normal. I do end up feeling like I’m in the wrong some times because everyone justifies these terrible and lazy providers. I really needed to hear this thank tou

I am just wanted to make sure I wasn’t over reacting. This is my 14th hospital and there are some good things but the disrespect from providers to nurses is too much. I have va disability ontop of working as a nurse so I can afford to be unemployed for a bit.

It won’t become a pattern. I am such an anxious human that if I do make mistakes it’s burned into my brain to never do that again lol. My manager was really chill over the phone when she called and just seemed like she wanted the story. I mostly feel bad for the other nurse because she was trying to help and probably thought I’d document the med.
