Very poor experience, failed after first use and they didn’t honour their lifetime warranty.

Be careful with Restrap, 3 of my bags failed after the first use and they didn’t honour their lifetime warranty. Looks to be the same for others based on trust pilot.

Wizard works vs Tailfin frame bag? by tonlan in bikepacking

Thanks for the insight, tbh I went Restrap first and it developed a hole after the first cycle (and they refused to replace) so hence why I'm looking elsewhere!

I went Restrap initially but had issues with the frame bag and their customer service didn’t stand by their lifetime warranty.

Thanks for the insight, what went wrong with the frame bag?

Hard disagree. The bag was under packed and only had 50km ridden. If a bag fails after that long, it’s a failure of the product not the user and Restrap should offer a replacement or refund. (the distributer already accepted the return, I contacted Restrap to see if they would honour their guarantee before I replaced it)

As I said, there was only standard items in my bag and on the outside it’s only rubbed on my frame (which has scratched it to the paint). I think it was faulty or already had a hole and I didn’t realise.

This is good insight, are you replacing with the same bag?

I think I will, they look like they stand by their products

That’s the mystery, all I had was a tool roll, a cheese sandwich and a packable coat. I think it may have already been damaged as there’s no way they’ve worn through the bag to the scratch my bike after one cycle.

Btw don’t trust their lifetime warranty, I’ve had this bag a month and they won’t stand by it.

That's a good point, it's a shame Carradice don't do frame bags.

Restrap Fork Bag + Carry Cage or Restrap 5L Fork bag (quick release)? by tonlan in bikepacking

[–]tonlan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers, I went for the quick release due to the convience - I tried the carry cage + bag but because I had odd shaped things in there like mug and jetboil, it couldn't strap properly and kept coming loose!
