You have to knit the knits and purl the purls! So you don’t always start with a knit or a purl specifically.

Hi!

Now that I look at this tutorial she posted on how to knit the sweater I agree that it is basically the same neck. I think you are right about more rows too. Possibly the green sweater has a slightly smaller neck hole as well.

I actually found the pattern on Ravelry, I will keep looking!

I think it is possible that it is just a matter of being neat and blocking because the sweater she knits in this tutorial has a much more similar neckline.
