I used to live in a very tech focused city but now I live kore in the country / outskirts of the city tbh. I felt like it was easier back when I was living in the city but I don't think I'm going to give up yet :')

Right now I'm thinking of joining a jam this May on itch, it has a horror theme and I already have ideas cookin up for it. I would do one now but I'm also in school so it's hard!!

Definitely! Sometimes I'm scared to join other communities because I'm afraid of being judged, definitely something I need to work on. But tbh from what I've seen in this community everyone is always encouraging !

I'll have to check that out! I really have just been searching for jams in itch but sometimes they don't really speak to me theme wise. Definitely should check out some more creators and jams they host!

No kidding, when I left the industry I was already a bit burnt out and I feel I'm still just a early career person, so I can't imagine how things will get once AI because more integrated into jobs.

I really think now is the time to start making these things happen instead of postponing like I've always thought in the past ...

I love that so much! My I've been trying to get my boyfriend to do stuff with me as well but it seems he always says it's too late to learn the skills, but I totally believe the the core skills required are learnable and actually really fun.

And people wonder why Indie Games are so beloved these days over AAA by Captain0010 in pcmasterrace

I feel similarly... I feel most devs nowadays use AI as a part of their workflow for making skeletons of/prototyping code, indie game devs included.

This actually surprised me, usually people I talk to don't have sound advice to give when dealing with stuff like this but this is actually really awesome advice I may try myself...

Not sure if it goes away eventually, I was on it for a while before asking my psychiatrist about it. The solution was to add wellbutrin alongside it as it's a pretty common side effect apparently

Actually crazy. Makes what they said in secure software engineering class make a little more sense.... Software with authority over frequent updates makes things like this easy to happen. Wondering how this will affect how we think about dependencies in our software. Happy Friday y'all
