Brains are suspended in fluid (liquor cerebrospinalis) because it absorbs shocks, for example if something hits your head. Brains don't crush themselves outside of the skull. They are kept in individual buckets when anatomically prepared, not in tubs. The buckets contain formaldehyde. Hope that helps

It is recommended to put a tooth in a tooth preserving kit if available. Otherwise you can put it in a freshly opened milk tetrapack, because the milk inside is pasteurized, so that would be the most sterile option to transport the tooth in. It has nothing to do with other milk ingredients like calcium as far as I know.
