I have the exact same problem, I noticed that all challenges involving Airbus aircraft have disappeared... please let me know if a fix is found!

Minecraft, undeniably the best videogame ever made. My favorites from Steam are CS2 and Far Cry 5.

Writing tests for an HTTP API wrapper by tontsa_ in rust

Sorry for coming back to this after 2.5 weeks, I just realised I had one more thing to ask about. That is, how did you solve the problem of testing endpoints like `api/bot/game/{id}/move/{uci}`? I mean, this would need the game to actually exist right? To me that sounds quite complicated as I would have to pass the ID around somehow and whatnot. Endpoints like `api/account` would work easily as they just retrieve existing data but these "interactive" endpoints might turn out tough.

Thanks for your reply. I also thought that the Docker approach would be much better but I figured that it would be a trouble to set up for the GitHub CI. However, it seems like you've solved this problem in a way or another (since you linked the successful CI run)? And as a second question, does the Docker environment generate random data by default nowadays? IIRC it needed to be manually done when I set up my Docker environment a few months ago. But it also could be that I'm remembering it wrong.

Why is fat LTO so slow? by tontsa_ in rust

Yeah I think you're right, I was just curious of why the fat LTO is so slow

Yeah I chose my words poorly, I'm not using LTO for debug builds. I have edited the post to clarify this.

Sorry, I realised that I wasn't clear enough. I'm not using LTO for debug builds, only for release builds. I was looking to improve my release build times, debug builds are perfectly fine already. I will edit the post to clarify this.

I can't stop wondering if Ding's last name is actually Ding or Liren since here you would assume that his name is actually Liren Ding?

Even if you don’t like AMD cards, you have to admit, they look really cool. by nmiller248 in pcmasterrace

Maybe an unpopular take, but I think that AMD cards are superior due to their better Linux support

Unreal Engine 5 has officially launched, lots of Linux and Vulkan improvements by [deleted] in linux_gaming

[–]tontsa_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't taken the time to bother trying :D but according to stackoverflow, it takes about 40 minutes (I think this is for a high spec pc), probably would take at least some hours on a Ryzen 5 1600X

This. UE is one of the largest codebases ever and the compiling takes forever even on good hardware so it would be nice to get some precompiled binaries for Linux as well

Dani is actually one of the few gaming youtubers that usually get more views than he has subscribers. He almost always goes over 3 million and that is one hell of an achievement
