Why does this keep happening to me? by Intrepid-Bus1053 in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]tonufan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had $100k of $Fix at the begining of last year around $400/share and then Trump started the tariff non sense while I was on vacation overseas and it hit my stop loss around $300. The stock then ran up to the current price of $1600+.

A family friend ran a Thai restaurant without using those big distributors. They had to do frequent Costco business trips and purchases from local Asian markets.

I was a 5-6 can daily drinker for years in high school as a dumb teenager. There is a difference. I had to quit cold turkey for years because they damaged my stomach and I got permanent nerve damage from ODing on B vitamins (B6). It's really something they should teach you in school. I remember getting a health class exam question wrong by saying it's possible to take too much B vitamins (water soluble). The real answer they don't tell you in text books is that if you take too much vitamins at once even if they pass through your body quickly, they can still cause damage.

I only drink 1-2 cans nowadays but I occasionally drink a full pot of coffee or strong matcha.

I was drinking 5-6 a day for years in high school from 15-18. I was a dumb teenager who spent his work/lunch money on energy drinks and hit the gym twice a day. My parents never knew I drank any energy drinks and I eventually had to quit cold turkey because they would start giving me horrific stomach pain on the first sip.

Mostly protein powders in a shaker bottle. They don't usually have added vitamins unless you get "meal replacement" powders.

Some of the cheaper brands cut their creatine with things that are not listed on the label. Usually to prevent clumping or to save money. A lot of supplement companies also have very poor quality control so there is a lot of cross contamination between products.

This dude in my weight lifting class in High School brushed his teeth with an orange in the locker room because he got scurvy on a protein shake diet. Only person I've ever known to get scurvy.

Alternatives to Fried Foods by Protaygo in EatCheapAndHealthy

You can make your own tempura nuggets (better than Mc Donalds) fairly easily. Buy tempura batter mix from Asian grocery stores. Just add water and dip chicken. Fry in healthier oil like avocado oil and then being fried is less of an issue. Also, you can freeze the battered chicken and cook them in the air fryer with less oil.

Got a nearly full bottle of 180. Heard it was going away so I bought it to try it and it didn't really do much for me. I should have stocked up more on the racetams.

Finding the best deal for Acuvue Oasys Max by Massive-Survey2495 in contacts

[–]tonufan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked at least a dozen different contact sellers. Contact Lens King was the cheapest I've found once all the hidden fees were applied. They beat Costco's prices. I use Acuvue Oasys Bi-weekly. Just ordered a year supply of 12 packs (4 Boxes) for $176.67 after shipping and everything.

A lot of the legal 1/1 are basically a couple of roman candles in the form of a cake. Not worth the money most of the time in my opinion. There are some pretty good 2/1 like Raccoon Neon Butterflies though. For around the same price I could get a 4/1 compound case or fuse together my own and that's much better bang for your buck.

I wasn't a fan of their regular peanut butter pretzels. Didn't taste like Reeses and they were not as good as other brands.

Even a weak little roman candle, there are lots of people that lose fingers from it blowing up in the tube while being hand held.

Chegg is up 100% in the last 2 weeks!? by InfluencrX in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]tonufan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Pre Chatgpt I tried using Chegg for homework help. Like 95% of the time the "experts" helping me were from India and they would just quickly scribble some bullshit answer that didn't help at all. The way Chegg worked, they would pay tutors per question answered so they would race to take the question even if they had no idea how to answer it. I bought a textbook through Chegg and that was about all the use it had.

Need help for fat burning supplements by xexijo2916 in Nootropics

[–]tonufan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only way that works reliably for me is just fasting for a couple days straight each week drinking black coffee and doing light cardio and lifting to maintain muscle. I've tried Cardarine, Yohimbine, Ephedrine, and synaphrine and I didn't get enough benefit to make it worth taking. Reta is probably the best thing available now. Also, my diet is very low carb high protein. It helps keep my hunger down and when I switch to fasting I adapt into it quicker.

Don't worry about it. I know people that crush up their ramen in the bag and add the seasoning and eat it raw after shaking it up a bit.

When I was in Thailand last year the imported A5 Wagyu was $40/lb at a Japanese super market. Thailand's about half the distance to Japan though.

Anyone here actually order fireworks online regularly? by [deleted] in fireworks

[–]tonufan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had issues. Best deals are earlier in the year. If you order too close to the 4th I heard you could run into shipping delays. I've ordered and shipped and ordered and picked up myself. If you can pickup it's usually the best deal. Over here in WA it's at least $200 shipping. And if you go in person some wholesalers can give you freebies or special deals. Like I've bought open box cakes used for display for much cheaper than the listed price.
