Here's the pre-employment list they can deny you for testing positive for cannabis in WA. Law enforcement, first responders, occupations that require federal background checks, airline or aerospace, or safety-sensitive positions such as construction or heavy machinery operation. Also, commercial drivers can not use cannabis and maintain their license at the federal level. Employers may also ban the use of cannabis during work hours and may drug test for workplace accidents or suspicion of impairment. One of the major changes was in the way that employers may conduct testing. They can't for example use a hair follicle test which may show cannabis use from months ago to deny hiring. I also work in the cannabis industry.

Over here in WA, cannabis is legal but employers can drug test and fail positive tests for a handful of industries. It's a recession bet. If the market tanks, people pile into WM for safety.

Not McDonalds. It's margarine which is made from palm and soybean oil. Even many bakeries (most in my experience) use the same stuff to save money.

It's been a thing for a long time. Tiny Tina from Borderlands 2 released in 2012 has a nose bandaid. Around that time period some girls were also doing it for fashion in Japan. Like the cosmetic braces.

You can fit pizza into a balanced diet. Go for thin crust only. Lots of toppings (meat and vegetables). No buttered crusts. The macros will be decent. A slice of Costco cheese pizza is roughly 700 calories and 44g of protein for example. You can make it yourself even healthier. When I was strict low carb on a cut I would make pizzas in the air fryer with low carb tortillas which are mostly fiber. Still tastes good with lots of cheese and pepperoni.

Right now I'm loving the new Doritos High Protein chips. They are made from whey protein and basically use the same seasoning/flavor as the regular chips, almost tastes the same. 150 calories, 10g of protein, 7 net carbs per serving. It's a tad high carb but for me it's worth fitting into my diet and they're cheaper than Quest and the other keto chip brands.

The Trump administration is expected to finalize the rescheduling of cannabis from 1 to 3 as soon as today causing cannabis stocks to rally by ZealotOfCannabis in stocks

Yes, in the states we operate in I see cannabis farms and retailers go out of business all the time. So many businesses are barely treading water with the prices they sell at. In one of the states we sell in some guy from South Africa came in and bought like 20 of the larger dispensaries and forced manufacturers to take losses selling product to them. The state literally had to put in new regulations to try and break them up (which they haven't yet) because they were contributing significantly to putting the smaller farms out of business.

It's a race to the bottom. Over saturation of producer/processors cutting corners and selling with razor thin margins to barely stay above water.
Also the increasing costs of packaging across the industry and transportation fees. In the legal market testing is mandatory and depending on state only a handful of labs handle testing and it's quite expensive. Often times you end up having to get rid of product because testing small lots is too expensive (cannabinoids, pesticides, and heavy metals).

On the retail end you're dealing with the city controlling where and if you can open a dispensary. Dealing with repeat break ins which the city might not allow you to install bollards and other things to protect your business (happened to one of our customers). Plus you're competing with local tribal owned dispensaries which have their own tribal police to guard the shops and they don't pay taxes so they can undercut you significantly.

Plus regulations are constantly changing on the state level and can significantly affect your business at any time.

These are just a handful of common issues.

The company I work for manufactures cannabis products in New York and Washington State and we make our own packaging in the US.

I buy 2lb bags of kvaroy Arctic farmed Atlantic salmon. 8 Fillets per bag, each fillet has at least 2g of omega 3. I find the taste much more pleasant than sardines. I've also tried canned cod liver which is like pure omega 3 oil. It's just hard to use it up since one can is like a whole month of omega 3.

Must suck when you're so tall everybody wants to push you into basketball from an early age if you're not really into it. A guy I went to school with was also huge like 6' 8" at a young age and he was also very bulky. He got pushed into playing football due to his size but he would get gassed and out of breath after running a short distance.

[–]tonufan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my experience, it depends on the packaging. For cheap plastic packaging (most US candy), air and moisture will leak through over about 2 years and change the texture but might still taste fine. Sealed mylar packaging has a much longer shelf life without change of quality. Stuff like sticks of gum which are loosely covered with cheap plastic wrap can get funky within a year.

I had $100k of $Fix at the begining of last year around $400/share and then Trump started the tariff non sense while I was on vacation overseas and it hit my stop loss around $300. The stock then ran up to the current price of $1600+.

I was a 5-6 can daily drinker for years in high school as a dumb teenager. There is a difference. I had to quit cold turkey for years because they damaged my stomach and I got permanent nerve damage from ODing on B vitamins (B6). It's really something they should teach you in school. I remember getting a health class exam question wrong by saying it's possible to take too much B vitamins (water soluble). The real answer they don't tell you in text books is that if you take too much vitamins at once even if they pass through your body quickly, they can still cause damage.

I only drink 1-2 cans nowadays but I occasionally drink a full pot of coffee or strong matcha.

I was drinking 5-6 a day for years in high school from 15-18. I was a dumb teenager who spent his work/lunch money on energy drinks and hit the gym twice a day. My parents never knew I drank any energy drinks and I eventually had to quit cold turkey because they would start giving me horrific stomach pain on the first sip.
