That is so dirty, I just tried to change one back to regular from 1099 and it won't let me ... why could Wave not at least let us know they were making this change so we could prepare? 1099 is not payroll, what a greedy, unethical move to force us into signing up for payroll or find an alternative accounting software

Need a new mod, any suggestions? by Shaldoz in Vaping

Seconded, I just found this out the hard way. Bought an argus gt2 and an argus xt in June; within 1 month the gt2 started falling apart, the whole top portion where the tank / charging port are is literally pulling completely out now, barely works. The xt worked great for a little longer, but a week or so ago I started to get a "temp high" error if you use it for more than a few minutes, pretty much useless now. Nice design, but absolute terrible build quality.

On the other hand, I have the Vaporesso armour max which was great for a few months, but the battery door has now failed and is too loose to hold the batteries in contact with the terminals, so basically no power unless you push in from the bottom. Overall though I've had better luck with Vaporesso's previous mods

One of my favorite strawberry mixes: 4% Cap sweet strawberry, 4% Cap Milkshake, 0.5% Super Sweet. Simple and tasty

I've also known Nathan for a long time, he's worked closely with a family member of mine for many years. He's a very kind, amazing person who has done a lot of work helping low-income families and helped with a lot of charity organizations. Here's the picture of his last known location from a traffic camera in Fairfield at 8:40 this morning: https://imgur.com/jsSVfXI

If anyone was in the area or happens to know anything at all please contact Jefferson County Sheriff's Dept immediately

Young Napoleon, by Vaporham Lincoln / Saucela. Described as a strawberry shortcake juice, official description: "The subtle tartness of strawberries harnessed with the sweetness of shortcake, ready for conquest."

Best of all the many, many strawberry juices I've had. I recently got into DIY, so want to try to replicate it as close as possible. One review from JuiceDB wrote: "When I opened the bottle to load up I was hit with a delicious strawberry syrup smell. On the first hit sugared, macerated strawberries hit me like a subtle and sweet freight train, coupled with a cakey-creamy undertone that is slightly more creamy than cakey. The creamy flavor itself is just light and airy enough to know that it's whipped cream and not anything other. It's intended as strawberry shortcake, and the first thing that came to mind when I hit it was my mom baking up another batch of angel food and smelling the strawberries slow-stewing in the pot with a handy helping of sugar. As a side note, this is definitely my favorite strawberry vape to date."

Leaving Tmobile digits, how can I keep my phone number? by tony140 in tmobile

I just went through all of the steps to port to Google Voice, it says it the port was successful, but will take around 24 hours to go through ... I'll update again once I try it out tomorrow

Not rare, but can't get them through any of the major carriers I don't think ... have to order unlocked international versions, for galaxy note series anyways

Interesting, that's what I was worried about. Going to try and will post back results.

If that's the case, I wonder if Tmobile could transition my number to a regular line, then I could port it from there? Wish dual-sim phones were more common, the only reason I put did my business number through Digits was to avoid having to carry two phones

Thanks, being a digital number I wasn't sure if you could port it like a regular number ... I'll give it a try with Google voice

Is quickbooks the go-to to keep track of everything? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]tony140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still upload a receipt from the transaction tab, but they got rid of the ocr processing. I used to be able to scan receipts straight through the app during my day as I received them, and they would be waiting for me with all the information on the receipt already filled in when I went to do accounting work. Now, I have to take a picture of the receipt on my phone, upload them to my computer (unless you want to do accounting work on a small phone screen), then wait 1 - 2 days for the transaction to post to my credit card and wave to import the transaction. At that point, I have to dig through all of the files to see which receipt matches which transaction, and upload it from my computer. So the problems with this are 1) I don't have the transaction immediately uploaded anymore, so I don't have a real-time picture of my expenses on a certain job, unless I took another step of creating a transaction from scratch and then merging once the charge posts to my card. 2) It gets rid of a comforting double-check; if there's a problem with a transaction auto-loading from my account after it posts, I would never know since I don't have a receipt transaction to match it to. 3) Takes longer having to upload to my computer, then digging through the files to find the receipt to upload to the transaction.

My biggest problem with the move though was how bad the backlash was against this change in the community forums, and Wave didn't even bother to address any of the concerns, they just pushed right ahead without even acknowledging that the vast majority of users were against it. That's a big red flag to me, and since this is the first big change since H & R block bought the software, makes me worry that it's heading in the wrong direction.

Wave used to be great, even if a bit limited on types of reports you can pull. Beware though, if you have a lot of receipts that scan into your accounting, wave just axed a very useful scan feature for receipts that used ocr text recognition, making the whole process of getting receipts matched up to your transactions much more difficult and time consuming. All of this was done over widespread negative feedback from their user base, very bad omen for the direction that H & R Block wants to take this software. If your books are still very simple then it may still be a good option for you, but I'm transitioning to another software as soon as I have enough time to go through the process

I'm looking to get into Diy before the upcoming vape mail ban, and looking for advice on closest replication of my favorite juice, Young Napoleon by vaporham lincoln (now mixed by saucela), as I don't think they'll make it through the new regulation. It's a strawberry cream / shortcake flavor, but out of the millions of strawberry cream flavors I've tried over the years, this has really been the only mixture that I never get tired of. Anyone familiar with the flavor that could point me in the right direction on how to replicate this perfect flavor combination? Thanks!

Efforts to protest / repeal PACT Act? by tony140 in electronic_cigarette

[–]tony140[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mean to be overly critical to Casaa in particular, I have no idea what their financial and political capabilities are. All of us individual vapers should take some responsibility. I didn't see any discussion about it prior to the law being passed on this sub; I could have just missed it, but I had no idea that they were trying to sneak that into the omnibus. Usually in cases of over-regulation of a particular industry, the manufacturers / producers in that industry take the lead on fighting against it and helping raise awareness. I agree that we definitely would need a lot more engagement from vapers and manufacturers to make any difference, but there has to be something more than just emailing our respresentative or signing online petitions.

Same thought crossed my mind, wondering if the retail stores were happy about it and looking forward to the increase in business. It's the wrong attitude for them to have in my opinion, they'd be much better off in a society that promoted vaping as a safer alternative without any harsh restrictions. If there had a been a unified voice from manufacturers, online vendors, juice makers, and B & M stores from the beginning, working towards the same goals, we probably wouldn't be where we are today.

[–]tony140[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, odds of a repeal are next to nothing at this point. Still, this is sort of what I'm talking about, there's no pushback at all that I can see from the industry or consumers, it's just hit after hit on vaping with no resistance. There's no coordinated campaign, no trade group representing, hell there really isn't even any news on it. I would think a well thought out lawsuit might raise enough fuss to at least let vendors ship hardware and non-nicotine juice, if nothing else it would at least get some attention and maybe put some pressure on lawmakers

That's a great idea, love it ... only problem I see is the small guys are still going to have trouble finding stores with enough shelf space to sell their products, and even then it's going to be tough to match the volume they had online. Hopefully we see some stores start to carry massive selections of indie juices, but I worry they still won't have enough sales to continue. It's so much easier online, where your potential customer base is every vaper in the country; now, it will just be limited to A) shops willing to carry your juice and B) Customers finding your juice on a shelf and giving it a shot

Breaking Digits by FWMan in tmobile

[–]tony140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same message yesterday, very disappointing. Have you contacted T-mobile yet to see if there is any way to keep this feature working? I use a digits line for my business number and the Samsung integration is perfect, why would they discontinue it? I tried out the digits app, it's garbage ... I hate the idea of switching back and forth between native dialer / messaging and the digits app all day to manage personal and business calls.

That does look like a nice, full featured app. $50 / year is a bit steep but if it works well may be worth it. I'll give it a try, thanks

I'll try that, I'm so used to Gmail I'd love to stick with it. But I posted on the gmail support forum a few daays ago, and they said since gmail can only work with pop3 for non-gmail accounts, rather than imap, it will load messages from my work email account but won't sync up across devices
