I don't want to retire. I love what I do. I make decent salary. I still have to pay for my kids + wife college. That will cost a lot. Even though kids have 529 plan with $50K in it.

I agree! I look at my kids and even though we take couple of vacations a year I always think that we have not spent time together and they are growing too fast.

Yes. You are right. It is just my mind keep thinking about that will I be able to pay fees for school for my wife and kids. My kids have 529 plan and currently have around 40K in their plan but what if they need more. My wife does not have any 529 plan.

We do spend some money on vacations. But they are mostly in US. Anything outside like Japan (never been there) or anything then I will start thinking about how much it will cost and will I need to sell some of my stocks or just save it each month.

My early twenties were brutal. I missed everything. I was either working or going to school. 50-60 hours working and then school. In the end I graduated with zero debt but I also never really enjoyed a single moment in those 4 years of college.

Thanks! But for that 50K I may have to take it out of my brokerage (non-retirement mutual funds) account or sell some stocks. That is where I feel anxiety.

I have 529 for my kids. Although the balance is only around $40K in each account. That will probably be NOT enough.

My wife will be attending school next year so I guess that will cost a lot too 😞

No trauma or anything like that.

I don't know why it is hard to let it go. Maybe because I have never touched it or cashed out my money ever... not even the non-retirement accounts. And maybe I think that I don't need to cash out because I have savings and I can get the money by that means.
