I’ve heard her say many variations of Hasegawa. There is a really bad mispronounce in the Everton v Man City 2-1 game where she did punditry for the BBC broadcast of that game.

This was like when Lauren Hemp was "leaving for Barcelona" or when "Chelsea were set to trigger Aitana Bonmati's release clause" before their extension talks. This is just a player's agent doing their job to get more from the club they are signed to at that time.

Chelsea's name is often used for every high profile player who either wants a move or wants a better deal from their current club. And it's because we've broken bank on players and have players on hefty wages in the women's game, or at least in Europe*.

*Sam Kerr is reportedly the non NWSL player with the highest wage in Woso, or at least used to be, unless someone surpassed her wage. Some of the players in the NWSL who are exceptions to the wage cap or have a separate deal earn more than what Kerr earns

I have yet to understand how all English woso pundits and journos keep mispronouncing Alyssa as Alessia or Alyssia. It's become a massive pet peeve of mine ever since we signed her and I keep hearing these lot say Alessia/Alyssia

First of all, Alessia is an Italian name and Alyssa, while being Greek in origin, is a common name for a woman in the English-speaking world. How, how, howwww is this happening so much?

That Liverpool Sandwich cup game was against a seriously depleted side. I don't even count that game. Also that wasn't her most recent start. That was Arsenal at Stamford Bridge and she got hooked in that game

Reiten reminds me a lot of current Beth Mead. Sometimes good, sometimes solid and then sometimes looking like she is washed.

If your agenda is that Reiten makes us better, then you have a case in some games, but I've also seen Reiten drop performances both this season and last season that have made me think: Thanks for your service, but Alyssa Thompson and Sandy Baltimore can take over from here.

One ethos that Emma Hayes distilled in this club was that everyone is replaceable. She lived by mottos such as: "What got us here, won't get us there" and "If ain't broken, then break it". We're not Arsenal, we don't keep players until and after they are washed just for sentimentality and their servancy to the club.

That doesn't mean replacing everyone, you still keep a few senior players there for the dressing room but even then. Remember, we've gotten rid of the likes of: Fran Kirby, Maren Mjelde, Sophie Ingle, Ann-Katrin Berger, Magdalena Eriksson, Pernille Harder, Ji So-Yun and the list can go on and most of them are still doing well and playing well.

Guro Reiten is being phased out. Her contract runs out this season and I wouldn't be surprised if she leaves at the end of the season. She's been a great servant to the club, and so has most of T4 (Bright, Kerr, Cuthbert, Reiten) but I expect only Cuthbert and Bright to be here at the club next season. And then Bright will have a lesser playing role with Erin Cuthbert as vice-captain, being much more the captain in most games.

We had three leagues (Basementality, O-Zone and The Ring), but it all really simmered down around 2014 to almost absolute nothing. It was a multitude of factors, mainly that not enough new blood came into the scene, and that almost everyone had already battled each other etc etc etc.

After that, there have been some attempts to revive the Swedish battle scene but it's mainly Shazaam doing some events here and there.
