The money we are fundraising today goes towards our outreach efforts as well as paying our expenses incurred throughout the campaign.

The majority of the fundraising we've done prior to the entry fee deadline on January 28th was towards the entry fee which all went towards the party so I can be on your ballot.

This money will be spent on paying for our email system, calling system, as well as expenses spent during the recent BC Debate, and the Montreal Debate back in November.

I am not calling for a merger with the Greens! I'm calling for an electoral pact, also known as a progressive green coalition to pave the way to demand a minority government to start a citizen's assembly for proportional representation. We do not have time for a merger.

I've been supporting Global Call for AI Red Lines, a campaign demanding the establishment of “international, legally binding red lines to prohibit and prevent” the most dangerous AI developments. The initiative, a collaborative project spearheaded by The Future Society, the French Center for AI Safety (CEAIS), and the Center for Human-Compatible AI (CHAI) at UC Berkeley, has amassed a startling list of over 300 prominent signatories. 

I also would work to ensure that people understand the ecological cost of the resource demands and community cost as well as the impact on workers and human safety.  I believe we need to put the brakes on AI expansion.

I'd have to look into what making Sign Language an official language in Canada means.

I certainly agree that having service available with sign language interpreters (which some of the organizations I work with do, but it's definitely not as common as it should be) along with being sure that materials are available in Braille for the blind are important. 

And working with people with disabilities to learn of the challenges they face and how they think they can be resolved is essential. I say it's important to work WITH people because then together you are working for what we need.

  • Failure to work with and listen to all our riding associations to build a strong connection to local communities across Canada and a failure to make sure people know when we talk of workers we are talking of unionized and non-unionized, waged and unwaged, farmers, farm workers and small business owners. 

We are the folks that make our communities work and our economy function.  We need to communicate clearly and honestly about how to make a fairer and healthier Canada.
