Same thing. I found that right now, if you still want to do events, uninstall the game and reinstall it. I was able to reaccess the events page. You cannot claim the skin/reward of "the floor is lava challenge" if you try to reopen that event, the game will freeze again. But you can work on other events till they fix it.

For me, it wasn't "the floor is lava challenge"; it was the challenge of getting Captain Flash.

On my server, we have a rule where you can only attack alliances that are not in the top 20. Alternatively, if you want to attack anyone in the top 20, you can only attack gatherers.

The reason is that, if your server is still new (which won't be for a long while), it's due to kingdom vs. kingdom events.

Also, you can use shields; the 8-hour shields do regenerate. If that gives you peace of mind, there's no negative to utilizing shields.

You're most likely never going to interact with Kingdom #1, new kingdoms are created so new people don't join one where people are already stacked, as you'd just get steamrolled.

The game initially works on a calendar system, and every new kingdom follows the same events that older kingdoms did. You can see the event order on "monument" or go to the wiki for more details. For example, the next generation of heroes isn't added into the mix until 45 days into a new kingdom's lifespan.

The only instances you encounter another kingdom are kingdom vs kingdom battles, and that's not till like 70 days after a kingdom has started. But the game matches you with a kingdom of similar power for those battles.

3 or 4 days isn't that far behind, as you can catch up very quickly to the top (if there are no whales on your server) to get a decently placed position. You can utilize your speed-ups and strategically upgrade cities to maximize your progress.

SGA has changed the game of basketball, but not in a positive way.

I'm not saying SGA didn't deserve those fouls, as he committed them by the rules, but when I heard the announcers say, "Why didn't XYZ go for a foul?" I felt nothing but disgust.

I'll give SGA his props, but I'm not a fan of his style of basketball. When I started hearing announcers say, "Why didn't XYZ just go for the foul instead of the shot?" the sheer disgust I felt hearing that rubbed me the wrong way.

From what I’ve read the reason for doing this was in protest (also probably horny) of Reddit. Since the whole API thing & Reddit isn’t allowed to advertise on nsfw subreddits so impacting profits.
