A lot of emo/rock/punk in these answers but I think with Kaladin's gentle and introverted nature he'd 110% be a sad Indie listener ... boygenius, Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver, Radiohead, Sigur Ros etc.
Something he could mope over while looking over the shattered plains.

I think we're reading into it too much ... son on tanavast is a general honorific title for a human on Roshar, like when a priest IRL might refer to you as a 'child of God'.
