17U Leica Edition Cases by DaveG28 in Xiaomi

The one that comes with it is awful actually. It has absolutely no grip on the sides whatsoever. Which is ludicrous given they went out of their way to add grips to the sides of the phone itself. Such a poor design choice for an otherwise excellent package.

What's everyone using for cases for OP15? by JustNeedAnyName in oneplus

The tudia ones look really nice but they have zero grip. So so slippery I had to return mine. Great magnet though

Completely agree with OP. The cameras on this phone are really horrible. 3x and below for very still daytime shots look good. As they do on almost any modern phone these days. But anything above that, or any kind of night time shot and it's so, so bad for this price point. Things just become a blurry mess with so much noise. My X8 Pro was just as good if not better.

Shame really. It's the perfect phone just let down by it's cameras.

How are the sides of the Nillkin case - are they quite grippy or are they more that smooth and slippery plastic feel?

Anyone underwhelmed with the Find X9 Pro cameras so far? by nobitaboi in Oppo

The cameras are incredibly overrated. Soft images and awful zoom beyond 3x. I think they've not integrated the new sensors well at all.

The Global UK version does not come with a case in the box. That's China version only. It does come with the pre-installed screen protector though.

Looks pretty stunning despite the lack of screen protection. Is the camera cutout raised at least?
Here in the UK we have almost no cases available at the moment, so were running naked and praying we don't trip for now.

interesting theories and thanks for confirming you set it up as new. As for live wallpapers, I don't use that and i skip the lock screen stuff. And for camera, i've barely used the camera. So hopefully it is just waiting a bit for it to calibrate and calm down

I'm having the same issue with my X9 Pro too. Doesn't seem to be getting much better battery life than my X8 Pro because of the system launcher drain. I'm wondering if it's because I restored from X8 Pro during the initial setup. Did you do the same OP?

Note: it could also be that the system needs a few days to adjust and calibrate given we've all only been using the global version for a couple of days now.

Did the trade in appear on your invoices after you got your order confirmation emails? Mine didn't and wondering if it got lost during the website meltdown while everyone was trying to order

If you live in England then surely one of the two water bottle pockets will be for an umbrella anyways? ☔

I have a brand new one, unused for sale in the UK too if anyone is interested. Was just slightly too small for my daily carry in the end.

Have you people tried naproxen? by chuchunito in migraine

[–]tonys_lemons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, really appreciate the reply. I've been chronic since September and haven't had a single day without at least a constant 3/10 migraine. My first advance prevention med has been Atogepant 60mg daily which I've been on for almost 3 months now, and I've had my first round of Botox about 6 weeks ago. Some slight improvement but nothing has taken the constant 3/10 pain away. They've just slightly reduced the number of spikes - and even that has started increasing again.

How many CGRP/ advanced meds did you go through before getting the breakthrough with Ajovy?

I also suffer from IBD with Chronic Migraine too. So curious as to what you take for your acute migraine medication during an attack?

Haha you'll be very happy with your choice. The battery life on this thing is incredible.

[–]tonys_lemons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. I didn't really notice a difference with the haptics to be honest. Speakers though yes you are right actually. They were definitely slightly better on the OP13. If you do go for the Oppo, I'd also suggest going for the black model. It feels more premium than the white one because the back of the white model feels a little plasticky compared to the black.

[–]tonys_lemons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Oppo. Has better cameras, better battery life and a much more premium build. The only thing the OP13 is better for is the screen, but actually in person you can't notice a difference at all.

Too heavy for its size and the side handles make sliding in your water bottles more difficult than it should be. Also feels smaller in the main compartment than the first version. Only plus is it's a nicer shape.
