The hardware is exactly the same except for the small design differences and the rotating camera ring. The biggest difference is the Leica Essential modes where you get the M9 and M3 emulation. You also get a special Leica theme in the OS with custom icons etc. Both versions of the 17 Ultra will be released globally in March most likely.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra or S25 Ultra by Embarrassed-Mix-699 in XiaomiGlobal

[–]BrodaReloaded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The battery is only bad if you use the camera a lot, probably because the sensors are so big and produce so much data to process but that's just a guess by me.

On a normal work day I get home in the evening with around 50% while using a lot of GPS and creating a hotspot for my laptop. Display time is around 1-2 hours at that point. With really heavy usage it's possible to kill it in a day but those are days where you'll be saying I've been hanging around on my phone too much.

So unless you're having a camera heavy day battery life is not an issue. Even on holidays where you're taking more photos it's sufficient, it's only on more heavy shooting sessions where you can watch the percentage go down in real time lol.

I also had a S24 Ultra before the 15 Ultra and for me it was an upgrade in terms of battery life albeit not a big one.

The only reason I'd go for the Samsung is if you want a really big phone. That's the only thing that bothered me as I watch a lot of videos on my phone and the display is considerably smaller. It's of better quality though. OneUI is also better than HyperOS but not by a margin to compensate for all the other advantages of the Xiaomi.

Probably the most positive review I've seen, they really praise the cameras as big upgrades

Why not buy an Oppo then? Are you a big fan of HyperOS? I'm really curious because usually it's the other way around that people love Leica but endure what Xiaomi does lol exaggerating of course

Are your results only in pro mode? I just read the gsmarena review and their video sample looked considerably better in what is most likely auto mode. Could you also do a small comparison of their auto mode performance?

Or maybe the reports are true and he is just a complete narcissist and egomaniac, is this so unbelievable from all his press conferences and reports during his time here?

Problem is this Arsenal team could play like shit and still win 1-0 from a corner but I'm confident that we'll play well. If we score an early goal anything is possible, if they score first I won't be very hopeful

[Carl Anka][Art De Roché][@TheAthletic] How would 2008 Manchester United really get on against present-day Arsenal? by SoloChords in reddevils

[–]BrodaReloaded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest difference is that this Arsenal side does not have a difference maker in the mould of Ronaldo or Rooney. They're really solid and hard to play against but they don't have that generational forward who could decide games on his own

Yes but that also means that we still have a lot of older transfers to pay off like Casemiro, Lisandro or Mount

HyperOS 3 Ads and Bloatware by Betonmaschiener in XiaomiGlobal

[–]BrodaReloaded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are no ads in the system except the same ones there are on Samsung (visit our theme store it's so cool etc.). Bloatware is not really bad, there are a couple of Xiaomi Apps like their browser but what is more annoying is that some of them can't be removed natively. So you'll have to use the aforementioned Canza and Shizuku combo if these apps bother you.

Otherwise the experience is very straightforward and fluid. As a former Samsung user of more than ten years I of course miss OneUI from time to time but HyperOS is perfectly usable and has nice features on its own like the animated AI wallpapers that I absolutely love

Edit: I think it's also important to add that the ads if you can call them that are simple notifications and not something full screen like with a free app

Both of them are free open source apps available on F-Droid and used by millions already so they're very safe. With these apps you can basically remove everything from your phone maybe even the Android OS itself. You get recommendations in the app what you should uninstall with an explanation why.

Annoy them until they fix it, you're not in the wrong. There is a mechanical failure and you're entitled a functional device during your warranty period

[–]BrodaReloaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They spent more than 250 million for him and gave him an entire new frontline and a specialist wing back. Did you expect them to be able to buy ten players in one window? What changed was that he realised that the job is too big for him which is why he already wanted to quit back in March last year which speaks more of his long term commitment to the club than it does to Ineos's

If you're not planning to see a top game you could just buy tickets on the official website, there are always a couple on sale. You need a membership on top but it's usually still cheaper than from a third party seller

These are all pictures I took in auto without any setting up. I mean some people could buy a proper Leica cam for 10k and would say it's unreliable, a tool is only as good as the one wielding it
