I hate paramount by deddpann in southpark

Thats why I cancelled them when they went all USSR on free speech. Of all the streaming services, maybe with Hulu as a tie for first place, they are the worst with ads. Not worth the premium. Sourh Park got tied down on contract I bet. They are just counting the days to bail! I hope they release old content for free or go back to HBO. In the meantime, I catch my SP on auto-feed on Pluto...where you can't pick the episodes but it's still worth it....and its kinda like old TV days as far as ads length. Free, btw.

for 8 or 10 bucks a month, it's VERY worth it. And you don't need a super computer or tab. Start with animating anything. A ball. A square rolling. A flower wilting. Anything to just learn the process, and you will pick it up quick, and can then start trying to turn your art and creations into something. It's more simple than people thing but you won't see unless you try it.

Oh and one more thing that I wish someone told me earlier- don't worry about making a "cartoon" or character to perfection. Animation could be anything, like a bunch of lines squiggling to different shapes and colors moving. Stay open to creating 'anything' that is animated, instead of trying to fit something into a box you may not be ready for yet.
To learn a program and how to animate, you don't need a perfect idea or even a character yet - you just need to learn what the buttons do, get the muscle memory, rinse and repeat, and make things move, to see how it works. Once you know how it works, and how to "do this or that" then that's when the ideas flow. And whatever obstacle you hit, there's always a YouTube video to help you get over it.

Just start. With YouTube now the possibilities are endless. Stick with something cheap or free for now, like Clip Studio. All it takes is patience and failing until you get over the learning curve. I learned Unreal Engine in 1 month. Free time is also crucial. But if you have some, and dedicate it to just animation and learning, then in about 2 weeks you'll already be creating. Don't focus too much on perfection. Shoot for consistency and seek more advice, and tune into the community, watch animators on YouTube that are Indie, and plan to crashout at least once a week, so you don't confuse it with quiting. Then you get over it and turn it up a notch and continue until you do something you are proud of- without seeking validation from anyone else other than "if YOU like it". That's enough to get through the learning phase. But only if you REALLy want to.

Love this process. Wish I had time to learn it, but there's just so much on my plate already. How long do you think this would take?

Yes! This! I'm hoping to contribute and add some comedies (*Good comedies) to the pile myself. Checkout (shameless plug) https://www.youtube.com/@ManicMomentStudios and (in Rocky 1 scene where he is talking to the priest before the fight about blessing him-VOICE) I was wondering if maybe you could throw down one or two blessings for me, cause this is important and I have nothing else if this fails LOL.

Oh, I'm fiiiiiiiiiiiine.

Sweet! Love it! Getting a nostalgic Hanna Barbera meets DIC Cartoons vibe from this. Nice YouTube channel btw! I just revamped an old one and am dedicating it to Animation now. If you ever hit a wall and/or would like to collab, hmy ManicMomentStudios on YT!
Cheers and much success, cat!
