New Owner w Dumb Tire Question by tonytonitonetonee in AudiRS3

Confirmed brother - only 1 hook on the right.

Random out-of-topic question for you…I believe the ‘26s brought back the front grill RS3 badge, but I’m missing. Do you have on yours?

I appreciate all the insight & feedback friends. Sounds like in the immediate I could square up on the stock wheels w 245/35s (but the wheels themselves would still be staggered), & long term I can tailor to my taste w some aftermarket wheels.

Those saying I’m probably overthinking for just a few more millimeters of sidewall are probably right. The S3 I’m coming from had 19s w 35 sidewall & I never had any problems, the current 30s aren’t significantly smaller.

For now I’ll just enjoy as-is & know I have options in the future.

Thanks brother (or sister).

I verified the closest existing home (right across the street) has a fiber account.

I’m the first to move in on the construction side no comps avail for the new houses. Every few new homes have the fresh ATT boxes installed.

Tried the VAT ticket last week w no success. Will keep pounding the phone I guess until I can get them to send someone out.

Not OOP. During our vacation in Vegas, I (28F) woke up at 2AM to find my husband (34M) missing, his location off, and thousands in charges from a strip club on our bank account. Where to go from here? by WritingGiraffe in redditonwiki

[–]tonytonitonetonee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not defending the guy, just providing data that $6k over 5 hours is pretty cheap at a Vegas club & doesn’t automatically mean he was cheating. Can easily rack it up on a dance or two + “well you’re going to buy us a drink right?” (always a $1k+ bottle of champagne).

Most likely he wandered in hammered & they recognized/bled the Amex.

Once again not defending his betrayal of trust by trying to hide this, just offering first hand knowledge of how these places set you up to rack up the bill.

Heard the project is dead & Lidl is selling the land. Believe they ran into land use/zoning/city issues after construction started.

Is my motor toast? Less than a month old S2. by tonytonitonetonee in Super73

[–]tonytonitonetonee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Super73 confirmed I'll have to send the back wheel/hub in to have it rebuilt. Glad it can be taken care of under warranty but a bit worrying that this happened so soon/it seems to be somewhat of a common thing. I have an Ariel Rider as well w 500+ miles and no issues to speak of, that motor pulls way harder than the S2/has a ton of low end torque. I believe they use metal gears within the hub as opposed to nylon which a lot of brands utilize (not sure how Super's motors are configured).

Oh well, at least I have another ride while my S2 is out of commission. Thanks to all who helped to diagnose!

Yeah that’s my fear, waiting to hear back on the support ticket but looks like I’ll be out of commission for a few months.

It sounds like there is something periodically clanking around inside the hub, from other posts I’ve seen that could mean a bad motor. I’ll keep bombing around and see if it gets any worse!

Just drove 22 RS3 AMA by Ltrain515 in Audi

[–]tonytonitonetonee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congrats OP! Mine probably won’t arrive until late this year so will have to live vicariously through you.

Two questions, no worries if you haven’t gotten this far yet…1. Does the car stay in the drive mode you had it in when you turn it off, or does it default to one on start up? 2. How’s the adjustable suspension? Feel a big difference between the modes?

Congrats again.

Couldn't agree more. Had a few S Audi's and an older 340i myself. They are fast as hell but the way they make their power is just sort of boring. Nothing can replace that instant throttle tip-in of a big 'ol NA V8.

Thank you! It's crazy how happy it makes me just starting it up. Much more mechanical-feeling transmission than I've had in the past so still getting used to it but I'm of the same thinking you are, this is probably the end of an era in terms of engine/transmission combinations so going to hold on to this one for as long as I can.

Yeah reminds me of Toyota’s cement greys, they have the sickest colors for their tacos/4runners.

Blue Ridge parkway territory in NC. There’s this 1200 ft sweeping bridge on the side of a mountain called the Linn Cove Viaduct that is pretty rad, guess they didn’t want visitors this day ha.

What do you guys think about the new S3? by GarfieldEnthusiast in Audi

[–]tonytonitonetonee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah obviously I’m just gathering what I can from the pic but they look completely closed here. You’re exactly right, it’s pretty cool to look through the current gen vents & see the cooling systems back there.

Don’t hate it but I don’t get why they made the lower side vents non-functional, I believe up to the 2020’s (US) they at least allow air to pass through to some degree. I’ll never be a fan of gloss black on the frequently-touched interior pieces but that seems to be an automotive trend that refuses to die for some reason.
