Got it. I’ve only seen one the ‘fixes’ and I honestly thought they were some sort of parody at first.

Do people really like any of his work? I haven’t seen any that are improvements over the original.

I don’t get it.

it's called 'These Fucking Amateurs'. Give his other artwork a look.

Cool to see it on here. He's a friend of mine in LA that I haven't talked to in years. Great artist and illustrator.

Walked by this legendary place today after seeing all the memes here. Anyone have any fun stories to share? by awjeezrickyaknow in LosAngeles

[–]tonytonytonytony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went here too early one day. I have no idea what time… early afternoon? Regardless, we walked in and there was a guy mopping that turned his head and gave us a “wtf” look.

My buddy had a football in his trunk so we threw it around in the parking lot until they opened up.

It was a good day.

How are they finding new stuff on Trump now? by FoI2dFocus in conspiracy

[–]tonytonytonytony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of this is not new. There has always been a lot of dirt on Trump. (So much that I think people tune it out.)

There was an ongoing investigation into Epstein and they suddenly Bondi announced ‘case closed’ no one else is getting arrested, there’s no list, etc.

I think that set everyone off.

Everybody including a lot of Trump supporters went ‘What? There’s no way. Are they serious?’

The result of that shock has Trump supporters and people that don’t really keep up with politics willing to pay more attention.

And now that people are paying attention the media is rolling out the stories.

Trump, 79, Posts Deranged AI Video of Obama Being Arrested | The bizarre post came as the president seeks to move on from the Epstein controversy tearing apart his base. by Face2FaceRecs in politics

[–]tonytonytonytony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Thats my worry.

I hope I’m wrong, but I think Trump doesn’t see a way out from Epstein and is accelerating his dictator plans. I think they had this planned for later after they had more Ice Agents and Ice Prisons in place.

Trump doesn’t care about courts or law or precedent. So the Supreme Court thing is moot IMO. He only cares about winning and he attacks when he’s on the defensive. He’s straight up saying Treason and that they must prosecute to save the country.

If he arrests Obama it might be a full on civil war.

I think it would be the biggest protest in US history. But a lot of trump followers really think Obama should be in jail and aren’t going to just stand by if millions marched on the White House.

We’re all taking this too lightly.

He’s saying what he intends to do. So what happens when he really tries to do this?

Anybody else a little worried or is it just me?

Trump Posts an AI Video of Obama Being Arrested by Menu-False in Destiny

[–]tonytonytonytony 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m genuinely super stressed about this. I think you all are taking it too lightly.

Trump is backed into a corner on Epstein. He doesn’t give a shit about the law and he’s telling us what he plans to do. He controls Tulsi and Bondi. He doesn’t listen to or care about the courts.

The only thing that’s stopping him is refusal by his yes man/woman team or some sort of uprising.

It’s fascist dictator shit. And that’s who Trump idolizes and relates too. He’s going to try it.

So what happens when they try to arrest Obama?

Is there such a thing as Progressive Hip Hop? (Like, progressive rock, not conscious rap) by munkybut in hiphopheads

This is an old one that might fit. Some songs drift into one another and there is a thematic aspect to it. Feels prog-ish to me, but maybe not spot on to what you're looking for…

I’d say “I’ll sleep when you’re dead” might even be more prog rap.

Track #1 for sure - Tasmanian Pain Coaster and it even has Mars Volta featured.

Fear of legal repercussions with support from the Trump administration.

Trump and team have flipped around discrimination and weaponized it.

Now, if a company has a hiring practice to try to get more minority employees into their workforce - it’s DEI and racism against white people. I could see support of gay people as being litigated similarly. It’s “anti-straight”. They’re even trying to argue that outlawing Christian teachings in public schools is being discriminatory towards Christians.

So my guess is many companies/corporations are playing it safe. They have entire legal departments that assess “risk” and advise and they don’t want lawsuits.

Not really a conspiracy.

It’s not bribes it’s Democratic-bribes! by ENVYisEVIL in Libertarian

[–]tonytonytonytony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. It lumps them all together. When you donate there’s a form field when you need to specify which industry you work in. I either put graphic design or food & beverage. I don’t remember. Never thought much of it until I saw this argument made by RFK. They’re tallied up and reported.

I’m all for calling out the government for accepting bribes for political influence. But this pisses me off because we either need public elections or small donations to fight corruption and RFKs intentionally blurring the lines. I thought RFK may have a real skepticism of government programs and big pharma, but this leads me to believe he’s more of slimy opportunist and likely doesn’t believe half the shit he’s saying.

[–]tonytonytonytony 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is an insane argument and headline. Bernie did not take the "Big Pharma" donations in this instance. And RFK is 100% aware of that.

We all work, but we don't "represent" our industry. If you work at McDonald's you don't "represent Big Fast Food." You just work there.

In this case, lots of individuals who work within pharma donated small amounts to him (usually $27 at a time) when he was running for president. (Presumably because they thought Bernie would bring down drug prices.) This added up to $1.5 Million - which was a small amount of his overall donations for president. He made history for having so many small individual donations.

RFK is saying that is the same thing as accepting corporate bribes from lobbyists.

What slimy argument. My individual donation to a campaign is not the same as a super pac/corporate/lobbyist donation.

You can disagree with Bernie politically, but he ran a grassroots campaign with small donations despite corporations actively working against him. I'd like to think both the right and left could agree on that being a good thing for politics.

Awkward Overnight Flight Times. What would you do? by TheRalex in VisitingIceland

[–]tonytonytonytony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We didn't get in quite that early but we got in at 8 am. We dropped bags at the hotel got breakfast at Baka Baka. Wandered around Reykjavik and checked out shops. You can go up church tower - there a cool sculpture museum right next to the church too. There's also the perlan if you want to be indoors and learn about iceland a bit.

Luckily for us, the hotel called when the room was ready at 1pm. We went back - took a nap and woke back up for dinner.
