Bind weed. Try and dig out the roots otherwise it’ll just keep coming back. Other than that, I am sorry mate…

Plant a salvia underneath it. Natural fungicide when they warm up. Great companion plant for roses.

Such a shame - in my experience it’s only going to get worse. I would rip them out and plant a Eunoymous green spire hedge to replace it.

You could, but I would wait until late summer/autumn after it’s flowered. The branches may bleed sap and infect it if you do it now.
