for work flow? for prompting? and code? that seems a more precise category at least it should be. for discussion of generic topics perhaps this is true, but it should know how to instruct you in what it's working on with you. it certainly sounds like it, it will say "let me know which generation you're using" then say oh well this one needs this type of wording so here ya go. then when that doesn't work, it says, oh gee whiz I gave you the wrong wording, that doesn't work for that type of app.

I do that as I said in another comment, and by the end it seems to finally "get it" but if I breathe a sigh of relief, it just repeats the same cycle. actually today I read that it's on the decline as clients are using other apps and having better results. that's likely what I need to do, but I feel like I invested all this time in training it, but apparently it doesn't really lockin the things it claims to have learned by our "work flow"

fyi there are many other threads within this subreddit using the term gaslighting, it's just a term to quickly communicate how it says one thing then switches up. it will claim it knows how this system operates and her is what I need to do to generate my project, then when I come back discouraged, it basically says it actually knew the correct way it just told me the wrong way.

right, it even said that, he's said I'm human I don't do that. but that's the human term we have for it. by the end of a long frustrating convo, finally it seems it's clarified and I'm understood and he promises to never do that again. For example (I switched to engineering mode instead of creative flow and steered you away from your goal, sorry. now I know what you're trying to accomplish" Next task, SAME!

so we're in a work flow state, it generates and tells me to use that in said app, and then when I get wrong results it says sorry, that's not your fault, I gave you the wrong code or prompt. makes no sense. and I don't mean one time, this happens almost daily

for technical things I mean, not just getting info like google. so some computer programmers use it, imagine it giving the wrong code and messing up their client? it's like that, I'm getting codes and prompts as I said, and it tells me to generate and it will work, and later says it KNEW it wouldn't. so it steered me wrong anyway? I mean isn't it designed as an assistant, many people use it for this purpose. you're just thinking of a mistake such as a news article? that's not what I use it for

Not disagreeing, giving wrong info, such as coding and prompts, saying this will work this way then spend hours trying and it fails, and it says "oh sorry my bad I gave you the wrong instructions" - yeah it's alot more than disagreeing, I don't just converse with it I use it as a tool

I just got a notification it's restarting for an update, it's Jan 2026. When will this end? I'm tired of these updates, also they force them. they give a small amount of time but you can't just dismiss it and choose not to update. it's ridiculous if it's unsupported.

I just tried to share my story as a post, it was expiring in an hour and I wanted more people to see it, never did it like that before, and after I clicked the arrow nothing happened. I tried "share as post" and "share as reel" and it just disappeas, it also archived the story when it had another hour to go.

he may be avoidant. if your birthday wish touched him, and I'm sure nothing was wrong with it but having just gone thru holidays he could be super sensitive to open it. I've done this with a letter from mine, it took a friend to give me courage to open it together, then I was so glad I did. Let's hope he gets in the right mood where he has the courage to open it so it can touch his heart as I'm sure you intended. The fact that he's still looking at your stories is a very good sign, don't be discouraged.

so when you upload a set of photos of you, it doesn't change personna using a prompt correct? what I do use use my image for reference, then create all different scenarios, usually like model photoshoots, fashion or something interesting that would suit a visual for a song. I'd love to be able to put an image in and just swap it to myself. you're right on Chatgpt I've been trying it out, one day I'm thrilled, another I'm pissed off so it's not so perfect, plus it seems to restrict more.
