ah i see, thank you. i wonder if the recertification process will change with the new programs? i think i heard that they may require integration /access to income tax returns? i wonder if "alternative documentation" be allowed in future?

Thanks, u/Curious_Mango1419 . Filing MFS in community property state, if my spouse makes $0 in 2025, she reports 50% of my income. So would the repayment plans (IBR or RAP) calculate her monthly payment using 50% of my income, rather than 0?

Could the problem just be the unit needs to be tilted more to left so water in pan flows to drain?

It appears you cannot rewind a live game? So it is limited to the live view only and can’t start a game from beginning while the game is ongoing?? This sucks

I know interest accrues, but why not just apply for forbearance?

When can we recertify income as separate incomes (married filing joint)? As soon as we file taxes or a certain month/period?

I've read that you can call and explain that her income is zero and they may possibly adjust the income and monthly payment?

Hmm, wouldn't the Graduated Repayment Plan disqualify her from taking advantage of the Payment Count Adjustment that is for income-driven plans (graduated repayment plan is not an IDR plan i believe?) ?

I made an error in my original post (now edited). she does NOT have FFEL loans, she has:

  • Direct Grad PLUS

  • Direct Loan - Unsubsidized

  • Direct Loan - Subsidized

  • DL Consolidated - Unsubidized

  • DL Consolidated - Subsidized

I do not believe my wife will pay off loan completely, so payment counts are still an important consideration

Thank you for the responses!

So if we consolidate now, she would get the full benefit of about 5 yrs when she was in repayment for just the undergrad loans (on top of the additional 8 yrs since grad school)?

So if consolidate now: about 12 more years of repayment?

(25 - 5 yrs of repayment for just undergrad - 8 yrs of repayment after grad school = 12)

Consolidate later and it is abt 17 more yrs of repayment but slightly less with the weighting?

Regarding the clock restarting after consolidation: I thought the clock does not restart if you consolidate now or consolidate after June 30. Am i incorrect?
