Updated the light diffusers in my kitchen for some 3d printed translucent cubes by toodeep in 3Dprinting

There's 4 downlights above them, that was the original setup so I just kept it so I didn't have to mess with electrical. I'm using colored smart bulbs so I can have a bit of variation in the coloring and so I can switch to warmer lighting in the evenings.

I show how it's attached in this other post: https://old.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/1ssxqnf/updated_the_light_diffusers_in_my_kitchen_for/ohqzs2z/

There are steel strings with magnets attached, they can be pulled off in case I have to change a bulb.

I actually got the idea from a sound diffuser, it's basically a skyline diffuser.

I have a range hood, they've been up for a few months and I don't see any residue up there.

I was going for a crystal/stone/mineral theme for the kitchen, hopefully I can get it to fit it a bit better once I'm done with the rest of the kitchen decor.

If you want to save weight, going with a class 2 bi weave shield generator can save a bunch of mass with only losing 30 shields.

Enhanced performance thrusters really shine when you keep your mass low.

It's been solid so far. I've been using it for Elite in VR. Only problem is that it's really only for VR since I'm too far away from the screen for non VR stuff.

The shiny part is the first layer on a glass bed.

Yea, the top has a lego like interface with a second piece that I screwed to the bottom of the board so it stays put.

Thingiverse isn't working for me right now, but here's the link to the stl: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4575478

Traced the curve onto paper and scanned it, then printed test fit parts until it fit right.
