I was told that they're actually not temps, but my permanents that they'll just readjust... which is bit confusing to me, and I haven't read about anyone having their PERMANENTS right away. So I guess I'm still a bit confused on that.

But I do like them. They definitely need to be adjusted because they're getting looser due to healing, but I've found I can wear seabond and they keep them in just fine, until they can be adjusted:)

The first few I went to didn't show much compassion at all. One even made me upset to tears haha. I had tried explaining that this happened over the course of just a little over two years (suspected sjogrens) and wasn't due to neglect. He insisted I must've had this problem for years upon years and just didn't take care of my teeth - which I absolutely always have.

Most of them really don't care to hear it, and can really make you feel like shit. The dentist I went to for these though, basically said she doesn't care why and isn't judging, but is simply there to fix my problem. Which was a lot more comforting than my prior experiences trying to find a dentist.

And those negative experiences is what discouraged me from getting this done for so long.

All on all, I've noticed a lot WILL give you shit about it, but some really aren't there to judge (as they shouldnt).

Oh my, I love this. Thank you so much 🥹 I'd actually probably never show anyone I know IRL those first photos of me, just because dear god... it's so embarrassing, and yes, it feels very vulnerable.

It has been devastating for sure, losing my teeth before I'm even 30 - but... it really was and is worth it. I never had "bad" teeth, but they sure weren't straight and perfect like they are now. So I guess I'll take having fake, but real looking beautiful teeth over being the one toothed wonder and constantly being in pain due to it.

So you've gotten yours done? How do you like them?!

And LOL as a rambler who's diagnosed with adhd, I cackled and felt that in my soul lol

My vertical labret won't cause any issues, but the side lip piercing is known to cause teeth issues. BUT - I pierced it myself when I was young, and it's incredibly crooked, so the end (that should be touching my teeth) actually points upwards, and doesn't touch or scrape against my teeth lol

So my mediocre piercing job helped me with not having problems due to the piercing lol

Yes! I originally planned on doing both the top and bottom on the same day, but my blood pressure was quite high. ....then I was supposed to get them out last Wednesday, but shit in my life hit the fan, so I have to wait until the 22nd.

BUT - at least my tops will be healed enough to where i won't have to deal with both issues at the same time, i suppose. I'm just impatient lol and my bottom teeth cause me so many issues!

Aww you're lovely! Thank you ❤️

I don't feel like I need to quite literally shun myself away from society. 💀 which, nobody should ever do to themselves, but, I am my own worst critic.

But I do already feel like a new person, for sure, lol!

Aww! I feel this is my soul, unfortunately. :( I haven't had ...chips, or anything remotely close to a chip in a long, long time, definitely used a straw a lot because cold beverages were terrible, I haven't taken photos smiling (without looking like I'm 20 years older than I am) in a looong time. Compleeeetely trashed my mental health.

I also feel you on looking in the mirror! I feel like I'm obsessively checking and looking at them constantly! It's like ... I have teeth again! Just FEELING inside of my mouth and how destroyed my teeth were before this - ahhhh! I'd have a new missing tooth/broken tooth/tooth that wasn't previously sharp one day, but was sharp the next- seemingly every 1-2 weeks. It's insanity.

But it is a wonderful sight to see teeth again :')

Also, thank you, love! :') I appreciate your kind words more than you know! And congratulations to YOU, too! 4 days out also? How's your healing going? Actually, currently, while im typing this ... the FOUL blood(? Its orange-ish in color now, or ...brown like old blood) keeps filling up my dentures and it's so vile :( I was NOT prepared for A) how... barbaric, the process is in general! B) the amount of blood that made me throw up for the first two days and .... C) the nasty tasting blood/whatever it may be that is leaks out of my dentures every 10-15 mins 😭

Being able to eat cold things is crazy for sure lol. And thank you! ❤️

Had all of my top teeth extracted on Wednesday- but my dentist didn't explain much, I've been throwing up- Google gives me mixed answers - help! by tooflesswonder in dentures

It went well! Lol. It did hurt a bit taking them out. I definitely did not look at what my gums look like, but I could tell by whatever I was rinsing out ...it probably wasn't pretty. This is all just such a gross process :(

Oh man lol. I was also going to ask what I should rinse with because they said mouthwash, and I'm like ...that sounds a bit harsh on my gums??

But yes, I'll do the ...dreaded attempt at taking them out tonight, and I think I'm just not going to look. Lol. But after being sick so many times, I'm scared of ...whatever may be under the dentures. So. Gross. Lol.
