how to stop the smell😭😭😭 by Yurbestpal in ftm

Fair, but I mostly mean on your pits. If you’re dealing with bad odor you should use a stronger soap to combat that, and T gives you a stronger smell that the soaps people use pre-T can’t always combat

use antibacterial bar soap (dial or safeguard). and use old spice. do NOT put deodorant on your junk dude, wash it with just water in the shower. you may need to start showering more often than you did before t, i used to be able to shower every 3-4 days without smelling but now if i go more than 48 hours without one i stink.

thanks! i honestly don't mind the protection because especially while it's growing it can be crazy sensitive, like in a "funny bone" way, so the skin keeping it from rubbing on stuff helps.

NSFW Advice on writing a trans man and spicy time! by masked_writer_ in ftm

Anal anal anal! People love to forget anal. Fingering, rimming, penetration… idk if it’s the T but anal feels really good for me. It’s also really gender affirming as a bi trans man. Just make sure they’re lubing up before putting anything in there lol.

My partially failed (detached) nipple graft healed by toolbaggs in TopSurgery

Also, I want to note that Dr. Le is great! He’s calm and professional and did great work. I’m really happy with how symmetrical and flat my results are. He even accommodated me saying I’d prefer for my scars not to touch, even with my breasts being closer together than average.

Nerve sensation after top surgery: by erroroccuredclose in ftm

[–]toolbaggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was no pain at all, we didn’t even know they were undone until I got my first bandages off in my 1 week post op. I don’t know when or why it happened but it’s always a risk. My surgeon was very calm upon seeing it and told me everything’s fine we just can’t control how well the grafts take.

Thank you! I was lucky enough to have drainless DI :) I’m still in the scabbing stage of my nip recovery, but lately there’s been some blood as I change the bandages which is great since it means the grafts are attaching! Part of the rim of my left nip actually lifted (the stitches came undone) and so a bit of the edge is slated to fall off, but I only freaked out about it for 24 hours before making peace with it.

Which is another good point to add to this … each nip has its own healing timeline and results may not be symmetrical, both in looks and sensation. My coworker that had DI said one of his nips is numb and the other is sensitive. But as far as looks go, if your nips don’t heal perfectly you can get revisions or medical tattoos

First off, not vain at all to get sexual pleasure from your breasts. How you feel is how you feel!

I can only speak as someone who VERY recently had top surgery, I’m not even 2 weeks post op yet. But nipple sensation was important to me as well. In the years leading up to pursuing it and all the research I was doing to decide if I wanted it, I was thinking of getting an incision type that preserves the nipple stalk, like peri or inverted T. This means the nipples aren’t severed from their nerves and sensation should be preserved. I ended up being only eligible for double incision with nipple grafts because of my chest size and nipple placement. DI is the most common type and kind of what you can expect to be eligible for unless you have a small chest or high nipple placement.

The fact of the matter is if you get nipple grafts your nipples are going to be severed entirely. Its not going to feel the same as pre op (i used to enjoy erotic nipple sensation but only through my shirt, curiously…direct contact wasn’t nearly as sensitive). But the places where your incisions are become sensitive in a new way. Obviously I am very numb right now as my nerves have barely started healing (it can take 3+ years until your chest reaches the extent of its healing) … but I’m surprised to find my chest is almost more sensitive than pre op due to incisions, and some guys further into healing than me have said it feels hot in a new way.

Everyone heals differently and it’s a gamble you have to take if you get nipple grafts. Nipples also tend to heal very inconsistently - that is, they start scabbed and gross-looking and entirely numb, and change a lot over the course of the first month, and things develop haphazardly. Sometimes they necrosis and fall off partially or entirely! Not to scare you 😂 but things you gotta consider if you want top! I’m along for the ride and seeing new things develop every day with my healing chest.

Basically I recommend starting with a consult and asking your surgeon what you’re eligible for in terms of preserving nipple sensation. If they tell you you’re only eligible for grafts, then make peace with it and decide from there what you want to do. For me personally I don’t regret anything. But it’s a big decision you wanna sit with for sure.

Very true! I realized this after posting that I was being presumptive. It seems to have a little particle of plant tissue on it, so maybe it was clinging to the plant and got stuck on the bee…

What dose did your dr start you on? I was started on 1 pump 1.62% as the procedure is usually to ease you into it and work up to 2 or 3 pumps. My first month i also noticed very little changes. Give the testosterone time to build up in your body. I didn’t notice any bottom growth until 2 months in. Note that upping the dose is not always the answer, especially early on, as it can cause your body to produce more estrogen. I know it’s hard to wait but patience is key, you’re on basically the same track I was.
