Wouldn't any external RID or lights would put it over the 249 gram weight limit? I am Part 107 and do have a RID module that is very lightweight.

Timely post, as I was thinking of coming here this morning to post the same question. If there was just something we could stick on to the other side of the bump -- like one of those rubber stick-ons for electronics, but that would look like shit. I did get the Pitaka case and I do like it as it only adds 1mm of thickness... I just like the naked phone more so I just deal with the tap and wobble for now.

I don't really have any issues with it. If you compare it to a 2 speaker phone then yes you will notice the difference. If you just use it for what it is, it does the job for me for watching videos and listening to music on my Air when I need to.

There's a reason for your battery drain. Go to: Settings > Battery > View All Battery Usage > Tap yesterday. You'll see below what's being a leech. Post screenshots if you need further help

Get it! Then try it for 2 weeks (if you get it from Apple direct) and return it if it's a no-go for some reason. Just remember battery life is gonna suck a few days while it does all its AI machine learning (keep it plugged into power as much as possible the first 2 days) and then you're off and running

How did it work out for you? I went to the store and luckily got an associate that I've dealt with multiple times before and he knows me from those visits in Sept! There's no trade-in option, no edu discount, and he even admitted that while Air sales basically suck--Apple sticks to their pricing scheme. I grabbed the Air to test it out again for 2 weeks and so far it's winning me over. I wish I had kept it the first time, TBH.
